The apartment comes with an initial welcome pack including water, some generic items for cooking such as oil, salt, pepper, sugar, coffee pods, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and toilet roll; as well as 2 small bottles of shower gel, shampoo and body lotion per bathroom. This is of course a self-catering apartment and guests are reminded that they can purchase items to last the full length of their stay directly at the local stores or supermarkets close by, some of which do not close until 9-10pm most evenings.
We had a wonderful 4-night stay for 5 of us, and this apartment was everything we could’ve asked for. Easy check in, with lots of helpful local recommendations and some great wine for us to have. Would highly recommend this place!
Stunning apartment - well decorated and well stocked with anything you’d need. Hosts were incredibly responsive and location is quiet, yet close to everything.
This property is well located and exceeded our expectations. It is beautiful, clean, well-equipped. I forgot to ask to have the bed in the 3 bedroom made up before, and the owner was very understanding and sent a maid service right away. Felt like being at home. Brilliant spot.
We truly enjoyed the location of the apartment and its beauty! Wouldn’t change a thing!
Beautiful apartment, recently completely renovated. Everything is still new and pristine. Spacious, bright, very tastefully decorated in mid century modern style. The high frescoed ceilings have been sensitively restored and add charm to the rooms. Very comfortable beds, superior quality linens, and marble bathrooms all add to the luxury experience. The kitchen is a dream and equipped with everything you could possibly need, including basics like spices, oils, vinegars, sugar salt and pepper. The large marble topped table is great for food prep and dining. Donatella and Gianni have anticipated everything you might need to make your stay as comfortable and luxurious as possible. The view of the falls on the Arno River outside the kitchen and living room windows is beautiful and the new sound proof windows ensure that your stay is peaceful and quiet. The bedrooms, which are located at the back of the apartment are very quiet guaranteeing a good night’s sleep. The location, in San Frediano, is in a vibrant area with lots of bakeries, cafes, trattorias and wine bars all around. There are lots of interesting little artisan shops in the area as well. At the same time, you are really only a few minutes all from the hustle and bustle of the historic city center. We had a fabulous stay and can’t recommend this place highly enough. If it is available on your travel dates, don’t hesitate to book it. If you don’t, you’ll have missed an opportunity for a truly wonderful experience equal to or better than any 5 star hotel could provide.
We chose this beautiful Lungarno apartment for our family holiday for its river views and easiness for parking (just outside the traffic free zone or ZTL as it is known in Florence). The location allowed us to enter Florence and park just metres away and it made is so easy for unloading and loading the car. Our two kids loved the big bedroom and huge comfy bed and we even made arrangements for a hands-on pasta class on the evening we arranged. It was amazing. Truly one of our best meals in Italy and an absolute highlight of the trip! The kids loved every minute of it! There are some excellent little supermarkets, bakeries and grocery stores nearby too not to mention great family restaurants such as Berbere (pizza), Antico Ristori dei Campi (great Tuscan dishes) and Osteria Santo Spirito (pasta!). The washer and dryer were very much appreciated as were the amazing selection of pots and pans. We just loved making use of the incredible kitchen facilities to cook our family dinners. It was so nice to sit down for dinner and enjoy the view over the river. The area definitely feels less touristy and more authentic yet Ponte Vecchio is just a short walk away. We did have to call the host once as we had no clue how to turn on the showers! The knob was a bit complicated (we tried for at least 15 minutes with no success) but we received immediate assistance and within minutes we were all soaped up and showered! Once you know the hang of it, it was pretty easy!
We fell in love the moment we walked in! In actual fact during the selection process, we were actually slightly concerned with their not being a single review on Vrbo. However, we had looked at so many properties, so we decided to go with our gut feeling and book anyway. It was by far one of the best based on the property’s amenities, amazing views, abundance of natural light and superb furnishings. Well – we could not have been happier! We made the best choice ever! This was the perfect base for our party of 6 (3 couples). The location was awesome but the thing that we really appreciated most was the attention to detail and all the little personal touches: personalized stationery and room fragrance, a selection of liqueurs to make evening cocktails, quality linens and towels, not to mention the luxurious bathroom toiletries they provide. Everything is done so nicely and of the best quality too. We immediately felt at home and the whole experience was so relaxing and comfortable! All three bedrooms – even the sofa bed which we had considered to maybe be less comfy turned out to be just superb – just like sleeping on a quality double mattress! The quality of the marble in the bathrooms too, is just exquisite! The place exceeds the pictures online. What is more, we received a really friendly welcome at Check In and we were given a full tour of the apartment. They also have a collection of wonderful experiences available to discover Tuscany. We will most definitely be back!
Florence Luxury Home is my go to in Florence! I would stay here again in a heartbeat and you should too! The windows are so well insulated and with the bedrooms being located on the internal, getting a good night’s sleep was no issue at all. This is a fantastic apartment with superb attention to every detail. It was nice to have Erika great us on arrival and answer all of our questions. The kitchen was great and had everything you need. Donatella always stocks her properties with such a wonderful supply: salt, pepper, oil, sugar, oil, vinegar, spices of all kinds, coffee capsules and you can even taste their family wine from Chianti! We had excellent wifi strength. Great views over the river and still very close to the centre. It was very convenient to have a well-stocked supermarket close by. There are some wonderful eateries nearby and vinaini (little wine bars) that offer platters of cured meats and an amazing selection of local wine- where the wine is served out of the traditional “bucchetta”–wine holes in the building’s wall! So amazing, so authentic and so Florentine! If you have an opportunity to visit Florence for an extended period of time, I highly recommend renting this apartment. You will not be disappointed, and the location will give you a chance to experience life as a local in the delightful neighborhood surrounding the apartment. I hope to return to this beautiful city soon and have the opportunity to stay in this splendid apartment. A.S.
