Stayed Sep 26, 2025The problem is that there is no local help with this property. The apartment is managed by a company in Atlanta. I couldn’t find the key nor figure out how to lock the apartment, and getting help was cumbersome calling the management company in Atlanta, then awaiying a conversation with the on-call person. Then waiting for the Atlanta manager to phone someone in Ames. The building is full of students and reasonably quiet. The washing machine was missing a foot and thus juggled it’s way out of the wash closet, then couldn’t drain nor spin.

Stayed Feb 14, 2025Great location to the football/basketball facilities. Very clean, stayed there for 2 nights. One issue arose and the host resolved it quickly. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Oct 30, 2023The suite was very clean with all the necessities. I was able to cook simple meals and get work done. Communication with the host was quick and effective. I appreciated the ease of check in and check out.

Stayed May 12, 2023HI! We had stayed at this property in October and were happy to be back for graduation, however, this time things were not smooth at all. We arrived promptly at 4 pm for check in and the lock box did not have a key! We were fortunate to get into the otherwise secure building and find the actual door to the unit unlocked and no one there. We waited about 10 minutes, and the cleaning service came as they were still apparently finishing up. The cleaning service was extremely kind, he finished up, gave us the key and left. We then went to meet up with our kids, locking the door behind us. When we arrived back to the unit the key did not open the door!!! My husband had to hit the door to get the fob to work. A nice person who manages the unit came to check up on us later but we lived in fear of the key continuing to not work, so we left the window ajar. Not ideal. Anyway, when we left, we put the key fob back into the lock box but have subsequently had phone calls and emails asking us where the key is! Anyway, the whole key issue but a damper on a weekend that was supposed to be huge celebration! The other thing I will say about this unit, is that you only get one parking pass and if there are two couples, you have to find parking other than the apartment complex on football weekends. During graduation, the second car could park in the visitor spots.

Stayed Dec 22, 2022The place is clean and large and new. It is a little gloomy with the ceilings also being painted grey. And the beds were the hardest beds that I have ever slept on. There were no typical extras like salt and pepper or oil for cooking . And we were disappointed in the communication. The process to get a parking pass wasn’t worth the hassle. There is ample guest parking. But it’s so much bigger than a hotel and much more centrally located than a hotel in Ames. There is a neat feature in the building were there is a seating area and a fuzzball table away from the apartment too. We will likely be back someday. Our closest loved ones live nearby. And we live far far away.

Stayed Nov 11, 2022The apartment itself was good. Nice space to hang out and spend time with family. Clean. A few things to be aware of. This is an apartment complex for college students, so it can be loud during the evening - it seems the walls/floors are thin in this place. A lot of pot smoking going on too, so if that is not your thing, you have been warned. There was no parking pass available and little information on what to do. The rental agency said we could get a temp one at the office, but when I went there, they knew nothing of the sort. They told us where to park safely however. But if no one was there, you are kind of rolling the dice on what you can and cannot do. This needs to be cleaned up. Finally, no kitchen towels for cleaning and drying dishes. Please add some to the apartment.

Stayed Sep 16, 2022We stayed here with 2 teenagers to visit our oldest son at Iowa State. This provided us with a great place to cook meals, play cards, and hang out together. We walked from the apartment to the Jack Trice stadium for the football game.
