Stayed Nov 29, 2024Apartment above us had old very creeky floor so we could hear every step taken by renters upstairs which made sleeping difficult. Otherwise a very quaint and clean, updated and comfortable unit. Great hipster breakfast/brunch spot a block away. Happy Gillis, great farm fresh food and welcoming staff. Close to many Kansas City Attractions.

Stayed May 2, 2024We loved this property! It’s very cute. Had everything we needed. And was close to so many wonderful places to visit while in Kansas City. It’s on a quiet street. No parking problems at all. Check-in and checking out were all very simple.

Stayed Dec 17, 2025We appreciated being close to trolly, freeway access and other attractions. The precise neighborhood itself isn't much of a destination, nor walkable. The unit and the location can be noisy, take note if you are sensitive to city noises, or sounds from an upstairs resident. The unit has lots of supplies and extras, which we appreciated. Comfortable and clean. We would stay here again if a return trip to KC ever comes up.

Stayed Oct 30, 2025We had significant issues getting access codes for both the building and unit doors. Multiple incorrect codes were sent through the VRBO messaging app, causing unnecessary frustration. When I reached out for clarification, I received a rude response insisting the correct codes had already been provided—even though one of the codes in that same message was still incorrect. I also called the support line listed in the property information but received no answer. Fortunately, when I decided to text the number, I finally received a response with the correct building access code.Outside of the access issue, unit was nice, clean, comfortable and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. French press was nice.

Stayed Aug 14, 2025Check in was easy, we had no problems getting in with information provided. Place was clean and well stocked. Great location, was a little apprehensive about neighborhood but it was quiet, easy to get around and had no problems. Enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Stayed Jul 21, 2025Overall, it is a nice place, and great location. The location was not to my satisfaction; Management was very responsive and apologetic. I checked out after one night of a 3-day reservation. I was advised I would receive a refund. I was refunded less than 20% of my total cost. I questioned the limited refund and have yet to receive a response.

Stayed Apr 11, 2025Cute and very clean unit on the edge of a quiet neighborhood (that needs a face lift.) The parking is the street in front of the duplex, convenient, but a very narrow street, plenty of spots. The upstairs tenants were loud, heard every step, 1am alarms, and movements. The flooring in the unit is unleveled with dips and lacks support. Beware of extra fees and background check.

Stayed Jul 20, 2024Although this was a clean comfortable apartment, we would not book again. The ID process used called Superhog was obnoxious, and totally unnecessary. In addition to the taxes and fees charged by Vrbo this host also required us to pay for an identification verification. We have never encountered this in all the rentals we have booked. We are also landlords and have not subjected our renters to this additional step. We had to verify twice and I ended up paying an additional $70 above my booking and rental fees. It states that this will increase connection with the host. Not in our book. It only served to irritate us and increase animosity. Because we waited to book our date, we had few choices, so we booked and had to eat the additional fees. But lesson learned.
