THE CROW'S NEST is a large, clean, and private 739 square foot 2nd-story studio guest house above the detached garage of a waterfront home. It has 10' ceilings and is fully furnished with a private entrance. From its deck enjoy incredible views of Mt Rainier, Wollochet Bay and our gardens which were proudly selected to be included in the official Gig Harbor Garden Tour. Historic downtown Gig Harbor, both quaint and very walkable, is 5-7 miles away. You'll find small coffee shops & bakeries, restaurants, bars, and gift shops along the harbor downtown to enjoy during your stay!

Welcome to the Crow's Nest at Anderson Landing on Wollochet (pronounced wuh-lah'-chet) Bay in Gig Harbor, Washington.
Enjoy any season at THE CROW'S NEST at Anderson Landing. On the second floor of a separate building from the main house you'll have privacy, comfort, view and access to one of the most beautiful bays on Puget Sound. Enjoy our no-bank waterfront with view seating, lush gardens, and fire pit right on the beach.
Relax on your private deck where you can greet the morning sun with coffee & enjoy the evening shade with a glass of wine. In the foreground of your view you'll see the quiet lush Shade Garden designed by the owner, a Master Gardener.
From Crow's Nest's queen-size bed view the water and Mt. Rainier...or the very large flatscreen TV. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu & Hulu Live TV for standard tv cable services are included for those sports fans-
WiFi is very good! For those looking to do remote work, you'll find the Crow's Nest to be a quiet and easy atmosphere. We do consistently host guest who are simply looking for a change of scenery and who enjoy handling their zoom meetings & emails from laptops without issues.
Linens are provided. Laundry facilities available for those who stay a minimum of 1 week.
To reach the waterfront, you'll walk a narrow herb-filled side pathway to the right side of our waterfront home. Please feel free to use our shared dock between us and the neighbors to the left. We've had many a guest bring a blanket down to the dock to site upon and enjoy quiet time down there with their feet dangling from the sides.
Additionally, we do have a small firepit with seating which is available to use during non-winter months, so please just ask if interested!
If you'd like to stretch your muscles and do a bit of water activity, there are two orange colored kayaks and life jackets available. Feel free to paddle your way around the peaceful waters and explore Wollochet Bay. You are also welcome to bring your own paddle boards, kayaks, canoes or whatever boats you float.
Even in the WINTER, this cozy coastal retreat offers a quiet tranquility and beauty. Hundreds of unusual and beautiful migrating waterfowl visit these waters only at this time of the year. The sunsets can be quite spectacular and, with the occasional cold snap, we'll get the occasional snow once or twice a year. Our weather is temperate and seldom gets too hot (usually in the 70's and 80's in the the summer) or too cold (with winter averaging in the 40's).
Parking - we do have one available dedicated parking spot for our renters. If you do have a guest/family member in the area who would like to stop by for the day, it shouldn't be an issue. Any additional parking needs for overnight or longer term, please just inquire with us directly as parking is limited.

The crow's nest was a great find to be away from the immediate Sea-Tac area. Great view with Mt Rainier in the distance.
What great hosts! We spent a month here at the Crows Nest and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our hosts invited us to celebrate the 4th with their friends and truly made our time here wonderful. The view here is spectacular and we spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the gardens and the bay with Mt Rainier in the background.
We enjoyed our stay. The water view is beautiful and the garden is lovely. Our next stay will be longer so that we can spend time on the water!
The Crow's Nest is a wonderful place next to the water. You can go kayaking on the sound or just enjoy the the views of the water and Mount Rainier.
Beautiful, clean and well stocked large studio - Crow’s Nest was perfect for a couple. View of the bay and Mt. Rainier from balcony makes you never want to leave it. Candace was a great host sharing her kayaks for relaxing cruises on the bay. Convenient to grocery, restaurants and more. Highly recommend.
Friendly hosts and in a safe area… they have kayaks and a small rowboat to use. One set of steps to get the apartment above the garage. No dishwasher the listing tells you that. Stacked washer/dryer works but it takes a long time (2 hours) to dry clothes. Heat is electric resistance and hard to regulate… it has a dial with no gauge showing temperature. The owner could save a lot of energy by installing an inexpensive split system heat pump for both air conditioning and heat that would be quiet and comfortable.
We’ve been traveling a great deal recently and throughout our lives and this place on the water, bar none was the best. Our hi light of every day of the month we lived there were the sunsets with the gleaming Mt Rainier as a backdrop. We delighted in walking through the lovely gardens on our way down to the beach for kayaking. We were totally enthralled watching the young sailors learning the art of managing their small boats almost every afternoon and evening. We could go on and on but suffice it to say if you ever get the chance to stay here in “The Crow’s Nest” , jump at it early. You will not be disappointed!!!
This was our 2nd stay. Very comfortable and clean. Owners are close by and very friendly and helpful! Great location. The surrounding garden is beautiful and you wake up each day to a view of Rainier over the water from your bed. We love it there and highly recommend.! Carolyn & Steve Doolan
This apartment is perfect for long term stays- it has everything you need and its close by to restaurants and grocery stores. The view is absolutely amazing from the apartment. Everything was clean and well kept and I highly recommend staying here!
