Amazing to stay in a house directly on the beach, with a pretty little courtyard garden and a large verandah on which to have your breakfast or dinner looking out at the sea. The beach is long and sandy, with the ruins of a Roman villa at one end, and the Scala dei Turchi a short barefoot walk around the headland at the other, fantastic at sunset. Fresh fish is available from Porto Empedocle, a 5 min drive up the road, where there is also a great pasticceria with yummy ice cream, and the Valley of the Temples is only about 10 mins drive further on. The owner Cinzia and her parents were lovely - welcoming, friendly, and kind. We had such a relaxing stay in this house. Our teenagers loved being able to play football on the sand late at night, and being only 5 seconds from a swim in the waves.
With my family (including four kids), the place was perfect, convenient, the plage right after the door, everything close, and the region (Agrigento etc.) fantastic. The car-park is precious resource, and the family of the land owner extremely helpful. We will be very happy to come back...
