Guest Access:
You will have exclusive, private access to your Sosuite apartment throughout your stay.
The Neighborhood:
Modern day Chinatown is a full blown community with bright lights and colors all around town.
As one of the most vibrant places in the city, Chinatown is a huge dining and tourist attraction as well. Trendy new shops seem to pop up left and right and for what was once a place dominated by Chinese food is now a melting pot for all kinds of Asian cuisines ranging from Malaysian, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese and more. The building's lower level houses the Hookah Bar, contributing to the liveliness of the surroundings.
Getting Around:
Philadelphia, one of the country’s most walkable cities, is incredibly easy to navigate either by foot or by public transportation.
Staying at this Sosuite, you're a few minutes away from Center City, the sights at the Independance hall, and the museums of Northern Liberty.
That just leaves one question: Where to park the car
PARKING:
Philadelphia has thousands of metered spots throughout the city, perfect if you only plan to park for an hour or two.
Parking lots in nearby streets charge about $25/day.
They are plenty of other paid long-term parking options nearby too. A good resource is the parking locator.
Be sure to read all parking signs very carefully before leaving your car to avoid ticketing and towing during hours in which parking may be prohibited.
MOVING AROUND:
For moving around, you'll also find several bus stops, bike ride-sharing stations, and subway stations.
Otherwise, we recommend moving around the city using uber or lyft - its fairly affordable & we'd be happy to share discount codes with you!
Other Things to Note:
- This spacious Sosuite is located on the third of a walk-up building floor, so make sure you are comfortable with stairs before booking.
- Extra cleaning services can be requested during your stay for an additional fee
- Pets are welcome for a $15/night per pet cleaning fee (capped at $250/month)
- A $250 deposit may be collected before check-in, and ID collection/waiver may be required. Reservation are not eligible for refunds if these steps are not completed.

During our stay, there were two different groups that stayed in the property across from us. One couple had dogs that barked through the night and the couple made noise through the night. The second group were also noisy through the night, slamming doors and talking extremely loud. There was no extra toilet paper provided or laundry detergent for the supplied washer and dryer. I personally was dissatisfied for the price paid each night of the stay.
Overall our stay was great. It does get noisy at night outside of the apartment. And a spare roll of toilet paper in each bathroom would have been appropriate.
Property was dirty. Furniture was cheap. No toilet paper, kitchen sink was broken.
Property was nice only thing was the 3 flights of stairs we definitely got a workout.
We had a great time here. Communication was great. The place was perfect for us.
My group stayed here for a convention down the street. It's a quick walk to the Convention Center and lots of food and drink options near by. As other reviews mentioned, you'll be climbing up stairs so be sure to be okay with that. Check in and check out was smooth as silk and SoSuite was quick to respond when we reached out. The noise outside is pretty steady so be warned if you are a light sleeper. As advertised, the apartment is above a club and one day there also was a party in a nearby us that was quite audible. That's not a knock on the apartment and wasn't a problem for us, just a note about noise for those who are sensitive about such things. We knew that it would be noisy when we booked the apartment so that wasn't a problem for us. Other reviews had mentioned some problems with linens but we did not experience that issue. There were also plenty of towels throughout the apartment. They were also kind enough to provide disposable, sealed coffee cups for the Keurig which was nice. The apartment could use some touch ups here and there and replacements for some of the furniture. But overall the apartment was pretty much as described and expected per the listing and reviews.
Good location. Floor was not clean, broken blinds and requested sheets/ towels were not there. Foosball table was fun but it's coming apart underneath. Beds were clean and comfortable. There were no trash cans in the rooms. Nice fridge. Shampoo is empty in the upstairs ba. Easy fixes for the next group.
You are definitely in the heart of Chinatown. That is not a bad thing, but be prepared for a lot of noise at all hours of the night. This is a 3rd floor apartment with 72 carpeted steps to climb. ? The bedrooms are very spacious. The bathrooms were big enough. Our upstairs bathroom had no working light and the filthy/rancid shower curtain was laying inside the tub. My husband fixed the light and put the curtain back up…which didn’t help the smell. One set of sheets had an old blood stain on it. We slept on the comforter and went to pull another sheet over us and it smelled like someone had wrapped fish in it. The other set of sheets had a cigarette hole in it. There were various blinds that were broken and a few windows that were cracked. The common room only had a 3 person couch and the walls were filthy. We had booked for two nights to attend a wedding in NJ and we ended up leaving at midnight after the wedding because we didn’t want to stay there another night.
This large apartment with spacious bedrooms has a great location convenient to the convention center. Bathrooms in each bedroom are a huge plus. Chinatown is terrific and overall we enjoyed staying there. The manager of the property was immediately available to address some issues we had upon arrival and during our stay. The information we received from the management before arrival was very helpful. The only negative thing I would say is I would recommend bringing your own bedding, and there are not a lot of dishes/silverware, etc, so don’t expect a fully stocked kitchen. With that said, there is so much amazing food in the area that you can just do takeout! Finally, the common areas (stairwell and foyer) of the building need cleaning and please please carefully note the information on VRBO that clearly states this is a walk-up over a bar. Management is honest and clear in the posting, and it is important to evaluate this before booking.
We did not realize that this apt was on the third floor or had no elevator. Grandpa, old and fat, and chemo patient, middle age daughter of grandparents, almost didn't make it. Grandma and three mature adults, sons and daughter-in-law of grandparents, had a time lugging the luggage up the stairs as well. Grandson didn't appreciate the steep stairs, as well. Lack of communication in the description of property. The apartment could have used some ceiling fans, one in each room would be nice! Dark curtains in the front bedroom. It was never night in that room!
