Cheerful 2 Bedroom Townhouse

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! I booked this property 7 days prior to check in. I paid in full. I received an email from the host 5 days later (2 days prior to check in) that I owed another 200 (30% additional fee) because she listed the price incorrectly on the site. I called VRBO who confirmed I owed nothing and the host was not allowed to ask for more money. VRBO called the host on the day of check in only to finally get a response 3 hours prior to my check in (while I was driving to the property) that the host was cancelling my reservation. VRBO immediately refunded my money and also gave me the initial price I paid in full towards another property. This would've been fine if it weren't the busiest weekend of the year because it was FSU vid Miami football game weekend so I ended having to pay 900 (double my VRBO booking amount) for a Marriott Fairfield Inn because it was 3 hours prior to my arrival. The host blamed the listing error on VRBO but that's completely false. It was her error and she had zero right to try to course correct after I had already paid for my reservation in full. VRBO confirmed this host was being charged a penalty and would be black listed from the site for a period of time. This host is untruthful and did not care that I was 3 hours prior to check in and the town was packed and sold out. She claims she posts on multiple platforms but perhaps that's because she keeps getting black listed because of her exploitive tactics. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS HOST.

Nice place and great location

The interior pictures look amazing and the interior is nice, despite a few bugs. But the exterior of the building is literally falling apart!!! It is scary. I would have went to stay somewhere else but couldn’t find anything in the area. I was not familiar with this town at all but this doesn’t seem like a very safe area. There are homeless people all over.

My family and I did not feel comfortable to stay at the property. We decided from the parking lot, that this property felt unsafe for us. This complex of buildings appear to have been affected by the recent 2024 tornadoes. We witnessed many roofs and some stairs that were damaged.

The property inside looked exactly like the pictures. It was clean and neat and comfortable. It is centrally located and close to the University which makes it very convenient, but the surrounding areas are quite run down.
