Charming West Sound studio apartment with beach access!

Very quaint and cozy. Would definitely stay here again! Loved the view, and the crow waking me up in the morning was a nice touch.

Very comfortable and met all expectations. Some construction going on in rear, smart tv for evening would have been nice but ok without it. No cookware for stove top but made do. This may have been in description. I would stay again 100% and very much enjoyed the amazing crows nest view and outside patio over looking the little bay off the West Sound. Two thumbs up!

A great pied-a-terre. The view of West Sound is outstanding. One could sit there all day. For things to do: we enjoyed hiking on Turtleback Mountain preserve. It's a short trip to Eastsound for shopping, restaurants and other outdoor activity. And in the other direction, a short trip to Deer Harbor for restaurants and a lovely walk (mostly level) around the peninsula. Cooking is not an option, and that's just fine!

Due to all the nice prior reviews, am sure this is a pleasant place when there’s no construction and the weather is cooler. We were only told 5 days prior about the neighbor’s noisy construction that was right outside the back door. We needed the door open due to an unseasonable heat wave. The porch slider had no screen so we had flys too. Trina was a good communicator but didn’t have a solution when we asked if there was another place she could move us to. In the end, we did find another place that didn’t have the view that Trina’s did, but was peaceful and quiet. Paying for 2 places was not what we intended! I would recommend waiting for the construction to be done and to visit during cooler weather.

We absolutely loved staying here. Such a beautiful view of the peaceful harbor. Will definitely book again!

Great studio apartment with beautiful view of the water. Very clean and well appointed. Location is near a main road but traffic is light. Kitchen is very functional (coffee, etc) but there are no bakeries or coffee shops nearby. There is a fabulous dinner spot next door.

Blinds need replacing suggestion use blackout curtains. Never found the switch to turn on the fireplace. Dishes are in a bad state. Need to be replaced overall our time there was great love the balcony and the view. The shower don’t turn on any other water when showering because the water shuts off. Overall accommodations were good probably would not return too difficult to find your way around the island. Very confusing.

This was a sunlight-filled, clean, cozy space with a deck overlooking the water! Excellent location near Turtleback Preserve and easy drive to town and to Moran State Park. Trina was a fabulous host.

The only fault I can’t think of is the curtains for the sliding glass doors do not block out the sun light in the late evening hours. It’s still light at 9:30. That being said, I was so tired. I dropped off on the comfortable bed anyway.

I really enjoyed my stay at the crows nest. Such a sweet space. Beautiful views, cozy atmosphere, amenities were perfect for my short stay. I would absolutely return for another visit!

It was perfect for our Mother's Day getaway!

Thank you for the opportunity to stay at this delightful getaway spot. Loved the room set up, the small kitchenette and the VIEW. Spent time on the deck in between rain showers, coming back in to warm up by the cozy fireplace. I also walked across the street to the community dock and easy access to the beach. What a perfect space to rest and relax!

Perfect views, easy to check in/out. Parking space is very small/steep for large cars.

We seamlessly booked the stay on VRBO and the property lived up to its billing. Communications with the owners were quickly responded to and we wereoffered early checkin without asking. The property amenities were outstanding and made our stay comfortable. Fantastic view of the water:) Thanks for the experience !

Loved this beautiful spot above the marina. It had all the necessary essentials for a lovely solo trip. The porch was the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen and bath were perfect for my needs. As others have mentioned, the kitchen has just the essentials, including a mini-fridge. Plan to eat out at many of the wonderful spots on the island!

Trina is the perfect host and the Crows Nest was a delightful apartment. Had everything we needed and location was the best. We got to watch sailboat races in the evening from the balcony. Would definitely book again on my next trip to Orcas Island

Crow's nest is a lovely spot for a person or couple who can make other eating arrangements, as there are limited cooking facilities. We visit friends in West Sound who have limited space, but a great kitchen. And at Crows Nest, we wake up to see sunrise over West Sound, we watch the birds and the ducks and the occasional harbor seal. What a treat!

I appreciate the owner's thoughtful touches - check in (she let us come in a bit early) and check out were very easy. The place is comfy with a lovely view of Westsound, but it is on a main road so can be noisy. The kitchenette could use updating - we didn't realize until a couple of days before that there is no cookware, although there are two burners. It would have been nice to cook some eggs, since going out to breakfast is 10-15 minute drive. We made it work. She was a terrific communicator and answered questions quickly -

The inside of the property was as pictured. Cute, clean, cozy. And as long as you don't want to cook, it works just fine. The outside of the building could use some TLC. But know that this property is on the intersection of two main roads. You can see the road a little bit in one of the pictures. This made it not peacful at all to sit on the private deck. Unless you enjoy listening to cars, trucks and motorcycles drive by. And it starts early in the morning. We are light sleepers so it also affected our ability to sleep. If you sleep deeply, then no problem! There is also a commercial property underneath. We also heard them at 7:00 in the morning. But again, only an issue if you sleep lightly. Not remotely worth the money.

Location was fabulous. Space is perfect for 2. Having the balcony and view of the harbor was so special. Clean, comfortable, and cozy! Also appreciated the kcups! Thanks for including those.
