Escape to Alaska at this charming studio apartment. Inside, this comfortable rental is tastefully-furnished and very welcoming, while outside, there's a shared yard bordering a salmon stream. This studio is on a three-acre oasis within the campus of the University of Alaska. The centralized location is less than four miles from the Anchorage Museum, and about seven miles from the Alaska Zoo. The Alyeska Ski Area, a world-class downhill ski venue, is a little over 40 miles away. The location was close to shopping and restaurants that we enjoy. It was quiet and comfortable. We had to turn up the heat because we don’t like using wood stoves.

Good: It was a very nice roomy place near a small stream and away from town but not too far. Owner was in the house but it was private and had its own entry. Has everything a regular hotel room would have. Bad: The heater sounded like a construction crew hammering upstairs when it turned on - including many times during the night. Two large dogs live at the house, nice dogs but can be scary. Came back one day to find someone else (maybe owners friend) had taken one of the two parking spots.

I didn’t realize it was studio but I still greatly enjoyed it. It’s cute and quaint. It was a little hard to find but definitely a hidden escape. I highly recommend.

This property was quiet and well-located for exploring Anchorage and surrounding area. Check-in was straightforward. The sheets had stains and crumbs or lint on them and the comforter was also stained. There were several store tags on provided towels, indicating they had not been washed after purchase.

Clean property in quiet location. Easy checkin/out with clear instructions. Would stay again and would recommend the property to others looking in the Anchorage area. We were lucky enough to interact with the owners who were wonderful!!! An absolutely all around great stay.

This wonderful spacious place on a large lot with wooded backyard is comfortable and cosy. The place is stocked with books, has a very comfortable bed and nice seating. It offered everything we needed for our 8 day stay. The kitchenette is very small, but sufficient if you are not planning on cooking big meals. We would definitely stay there again!

GREAT place from which to watch the wandering Moose--mother and 'adolescent' child--graze in the backyard, while helping themselves to tasty roses! Great location , as advertised nestled in the woods just adjacent to the UA-Anchorage campus and Providence hospital complex--also Goose Lake Park! The Kitchenette leaves a bit to be desired, but we made it work for us. They really should have a more functional coffee maker. But as others have also said, very interesting, eclectic selection of books on ;the shelves to read from! I am not a huge fan of third-party bookings when you never know who or where a real person is. As such we never met the owner of the house to which this studio is adjacent, though we saw signs of people living there. I prefer another popular booking site where you can see and read a bit about the host/s and know they are actually real people to whom you can talk to, if so desired.

The host was great and so was the place. True alakan property with momma moose and calf gracing the yard. Wonderful interior with a great selection of books to read. I look forward to visiting again in the future.
