Tavlos and Janice are excellent hosts. We had a delightful time, and the casita is adorable.
There was no area outside for relaxation There is a yard next to dwelling but not included and in Poor repair . Oven did not work Loud chimes when windy at night
This place was a perfect little getaway place for a few days a way in Santa Fe. Beautifully decorated and cozy!
I especially enjoyed staying in a real neighborhood; seeing Santa Fe with the locals was a plus. It was quiet and yet close to the many museums and restaurants I visited
This was the perfect home base while Spouse and I attended the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market (IFAM). Recommended, and weโd stay here again. The very friendly owners did a great job of making this tiny 1-bedroom duplex feel more spacious and airy including skylights in the bedroom, track/cable lighting, and a light-colored wood ceiling. Great art, much of it by the landlord, and cool finishing touches like the ruffled trim painted around the kitchen doorway and Talavera tile in the kitchen and bath. Off-street parking and a secure courtyard entrance. Tiny windows overlook the ownersโ lovely gardenโthey live in the front house. We only saw the other tenant twice during our stay, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. PROs: Private, with off-street parking and a lockable entry gate in a quiet neighborhood. Thoughtfully appointed minimalist furnishings with a table, dining chairs, and luggage stand the only furniture besides the bed and nightstandsโa very comfortable firm-but-soft queen mattress. The window air conditioner has a timer feature so it could turn itself off once the Santa Fe nights cool down and a remote control, if it works. Great, friendly, and attentive landlords in the front house. The mini-fridge not shown in the photos is larger than the very tiny varietyโthe freezer was big enough to hold a quart of ice cream. We could have cooked on the tiny gas stove if weโd wanted to. Small drip coffeemaker, also not in photos. CONs: The window air conditioner unit emitted loud rumbling and was oddly quietest at its highest fan setting. The A/C remote control never worked even after replacing the battery. But the owners had a repair man coming the day we left so that may be fixed. Skylights may disturb sleeping in if you like it dark, although it didnโt bother us. The tiny kitchen is literally barely large enough for one short personโif youโre over six feet, duck your head. The closet is a little hard to get into without moving the nightstand. No live TVโor we couldnโt figure out how to reach itโbut lots of cable channels.
We had a really lovely stay in this cute and colorful little house. Everything is very curated, we loved the paintings and decor. The place was clean and tidy. The hosts were welcoming and reliable in communications. We'll be back!
Great hosts, very clean little Casita Studio, nice quiet street that deadness into a nice walking trail. Hot water, comfy bed, and everything you need for a nice quiet stay.
This rental was perfect! Close to town, very private, and the hosts were super helpful and had great recommendations. Itโs right next to the bike path that takes you right into town. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again for my next visit to Santa Fe
This casita was cheery, quiet and comfortable though I was disappointed in the kitchen as it was tiny, room for one person and the doorway and ceiling very low. It was not conducive for cooking which I was counting on doing. Two back burners on the gas range were not useable as an above cupboard was positioned very close to the burners. I would have liked knowing all of this. Despite, the owners were very nice and accommodating and the energy there very nice. As a retreat, this was perfect with El Camino Real Trail only a block away.
Our stay at the property was great! We got in earlier than expected and the host was flexible, with everything ready for us when we got there. Over our stay we cooked meals in the kitchen and were able to have short drives to everything we wanted to see. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was great! On our last night the host called and asked if we would be comfortable meeting in a socially distanced manner and she was very nice and welcoming. Iโm looking forward to staying here again when we come back to Santa Fe!
Janice and Tavlos were wonderful hosts. The casita and property are surrounded by beautiful plants and whimsical art work created by Tavlos himself. I felt very welcomed and spent time talking with both of them. Thank-you for a wonderful stay!
