The district

Corso Garibaldi is a long pedestrian street that over time has become a meeting place and happy hour.

At the end of Corso Garibaldi here is Eataly, the most beautiful store in Europe, created from a historic Milanese theater and which has kept its original stage for inside shows. In front of Eataly the incredible pyramidal mirror structure of the Feltrinelli Foundation.

Corso Como, a shopping destination for tourists from all over the world, awaits us just a few steps away. On the other hand, who doesn't know Corso Como 10, with the Sozzani Gallery and the beautiful bar with Dehors

Continuing our walk we arrive at the brand new Piazza Gae Aulenti, designed for Expo 2015, with the fountain in the middle where children always play, with the famous Unicredit skyscraper, the large park called library of trees and the world award-winning project Bosco Verticale, 2 tall skyscrapers where each apartment has a terrace that simulates a forest.

Always on walking distance from Corso Garibaldi, but on the opposite side, you will pass through the typical romantic district of Brera (do not forget letting you read the cards by local old fortune teller!), the fashion street Monte Napoleone and finally Piazza Duomo

For an aperitif, we recommend:

Moscatelli, Corso Garibaldi 93

La Prosciutteria, Corso Garibaldi 55

Radezky Cafè, Corso Garibaldi 105

If you are looking for a fine restaurant close to home, you can try :

La Vecchia Lira, Largo la Foppa 5

Osteria dei Poeti, Corso Garibaldi, 40

Ristorante La Libera, Via Palermo 21

However, inside Eataly you can find very refined places to dine in a special way (pizza, or meat or fish) with a very high gastronomic level

Pharmacies

Corso Garibaldi 83

Corso Garibaldi 49

Supermarket

A few meters from home, in Corso Garibaldi 49, you will find the Carrefour Express - Urban Life supermarket. A large and newly designed space where you can shop, have a cocktail or even be able to taste what you have just purchased. All this inside the room itself

Alternatively in Piazza Gae Aulenti you can find a very large Esselunga.

Parking

Park XXV aprile. In Piazza xxv aprile a huge paying parking. Tel. +390236736432. It costs 9 € per day -25 € the weekend -45 € a week (rates published on the web site, to be verified)

As our first stop in Italy, it was a lovely place to stay. Silvio was very thorough in communicating details to us as well as meeting us when we arrived. A sandwich shop, cafes and gelato were nearby but the local grocery mart was a 10 minute walk. The beds were very comfortable. The elevator was available for our use. At the time of our visit, the courtyard was being updated but did not disturb us in any way. Silvio let us know that the exterior repairs to the facade was finished but the scaffolding would be there until the end of June 2024.

We were late arriving at the property and had to reschedule our meeting time with Silvio. He was wonderful - arranging (and rearranging) taxis so we could get to the apartment. He also was very helpful in where we could buy clothes and food in the area. Appartment is in a great location and was perfect for our family of four. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay. Very nice, large apartment in a great area. On a street with lots of restaurants. Close to many sites and the metro, which was easy to navigate. Great communication with the check in process. 2 thumbs up!

We loved staying in Brera as a base for exploring Milan. It’s a great area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a lovely walk to the Duomo. The apartment was well laid out and clean for our family of four! Highly recommended for a nice, quiet area to relax after a day of sightseeing and shopping.

We really loved the apartment! It was very charming and just what we needed to escape from the heat! If we were asked to comment on things that need doing, possibly the bathrooms might need an upgrade. But only a small point and the charm of the main room and the kitchen area, and the bedrooms outweighed this. We were unable to fully close the shutters in the bedroom off the main room - one of them is broken. Maybe a toaster in the kitchen would be useful?Check in and communication with Silvio was excellent. We liked the Brera area very much.

This apartment was perfect for our family of four. It’s generously sized and comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen for cooking and dining in. We loved the local feel of the neighborhood but still within close proximity (few metro stops/30-min walk) to sights like the Duomo, Last Supper, and the central train station. We also appreciated the advance communication from Silvio, who sent a What’s App message the day before check in to confirm our arrival time so he could meet us in person at the unit and hand over keys. Other reviewers mentioned noise from the metro and while we did hear it in the front bedroom, it wasn’t enough to keep us up at night.Overall, a wonderful stay and we’d happily stay again.

The location is excellent, very near a train station, the subway, and within an easy mile's walk from the Duomo. There were many shops and conveniences around. We especially like the Eataly café-market. The apartment was clean and spacious. We were grateful for the amenities, like tea and coffee.

We were in Greensboro for a family wedding, so this place was good for our family. However, it is a bit difficult for senior citizens with steep steps to the two upstairs bedrooms.

We were happy to have stayed in this large, clean apartment. The location was good. The primary bedroom’s bathroom had a tub that was too tall for either of us to access. And the second bedroom had only gauzy privacy panels on the windows and the room didn’t darken sufficiently enough at night. We never could figure out how to use the oven —instructions for it, and the air conditioning would be helpful. However, Silvio, the managing agent, could not have been more accommodating. I’m sure if we had contacted him he would have helped us with these things. He was kind enough to arrange transport for our departure.

The host for this apartment is wonderful --- friendly, good communications, helpful -- everything you want in a host. The apartment is in a good location -- a very short walk to the Metro, many restaurants in the area, very near Eataly (if that matters), etc. The apartment is indeed large and we were surprised that the air conditioning units really keep in the apartment at a cool temperature in summer -- very comfortable in that regard. Our family found both of the beds to be quite small and really not well-suited for two people to share --- it can be done but it isn't ideal. Also, the beds are really futons --- the mattresses aren't mattresses but rather more like thick sleeping pads that are fairly unforgiving. While our teen daughters were able to share a bed, I actually slept on the couch in order to give my wife more room to sleep in her bed. Bathrooms are small but typical for EU standards. Kitchen well suited for cooking. We did not use the clothes washer. There was also an unfortunate issue with construction noise --- the host warned us that a scaffolding was on the building, so, the host cannot be responsible for that matter; but there was also a material tile project being completed in the building courtyard and the workers would begin delivering materials prior to 7 AM (which was of course noisy). Overall, a good apartment but not necessarily the most modern, comfortable apartment available in Milan -- and, again, the host is wonderful.
