I got locked out of the apartment because I used the bottom lock. I came home at 1am only to find I couldn’t get in. No where in the listing does it say to not manually lock the door and use the digital law. I tried getting in touch with customer support and they would only respond by SMS, there was no number to call after close to an hour and a half of back-and-forth. They told me they couldn’t help me. They did not offer to put me up in a hotel, they simply said you’re on your own. After the fact they didn’t reimburse me the cost of the hotel transportation to get to And from. They never let me speak to anyone. I don’t have anything good to say about Viagem management company.
Overall the location of the property is very good - very centrally located and I hope that by the time this review is posted that the lock situation to the exterior of the building is rectified. The property manager did his best to assure me that the property was in a safe location and he did provide extra linens when we were short for our their guests. Like I said earlier, hopefully this security issue is fixed soon.
If someone took a dilapidated row house, made many extra rooms then hired semi-skilled workers to try and renovate the place, then this is what you'd end up with. It's disgusting. Mold in the bathroom, the weirdest smells, electrical so old I was afraid to turn on the A/C, so I just slept in a bed without covers, which worked because the bedspread was itchy. I can't believe I paid over $300 a night (including the cleaning fee) to stay here. I cannot stress to you enough how much you should not stay here. The worst 1-star budget motel is probably better than this place. This should be de-listed immediately.
Sold our condo and booked this apartment as we waited for our house to be ready. Being 9 months pregnant with an active 5 year old, we wanted to make sure we stayed somewhere safe and comfortable. The apartment was bright and clean. Be ready to walk up a few stairs! Great, safe neighborhood and convenient to stores and the waterfront. Would definitely recommend!
