We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Bear Den. Everything was exactly as described. The only thing that bothered us was the staff wasn't very diligent in making sure the outer locking door was locked. When we first arrived I started to enter the lock code and the door just swung open. Several times when we were out we returned to find the door was not locked. This leaves the guest room unsecured.
Great place to stay after a day of snowboarding. The Bear den was nicely decorated and clean. You have all the amenities that you need. Will definitely be back to visit.
We enjoyed the Bear's Den. It was conveniently located. Our unit was quiet with everything we needed. We enjoyed our time hiking & leaf peeping in the Snowy's. We recommend highly!
close to skiing, hiking, and cute little town. Employees were lovely to work with.
We visited to go on ski trip. Super close to restaurants and the mountain was a short drive. Nice having a kitchen for breakfast and snacks. The entryway was perfect for storing snow gear. Overall great experience.
Stayed here for a ski trip at Snowy Range. Conveniently located. Well cared for, clean, easy to get to. Will definitely stay here again.
Perfect for our family of 4. Enjoyed having the full kitchen.
The Bear Den was a perfect little suite for our family ski trip to Snowy Range. Beds are low to the ground and there are step downs into all of the rooms, so could be difficult for those with mobility issues. Kitchen had adequate pots/pans/utensils but only a small Keurig coffee maker. They did provide K-cups though! Bathroom was large and kids bedroom was spacious enough. The King bed is in the middle of the main room, and there is a slender table that only seats three. So when we cooked, one family member had to eat by themselves on an armchair and side table. Its an old building, so the lighting/outlets/pipes are what they are! But it did the job after a long day on the slopes. We would definitely recommend to others and would return! It would have been nice if the Cafe was open.
Was a great place to stay for skiing at snowy range.
The Bear Den worked out well for my wife and I. We like to hike in the area and this was a great location for us. The apartment is small but clean and comfortable. The access to the apartment (uneven and variable walking surfaces of cement or mats or gravel or grass could be a problem for some especially at night.
We enjoyed our stay at the bear den . The place is a bit smaller than we imagined , but newly remodeled and clean. Even though it wasn’t a problem for us, but others should know that to get your luggage/ belongings into the bear den you might have to carry them over gravel and grass , as the entrance is behind the hotel to the side and there’s no pavement leading to the door. But like I said, wasn’t an issue for us. Overall, cute little town , amazingly nice people, clean warm property !
We only stayed one night here but it was quaint and comfortable. The king bed was comfy. It could be really hard for older people and people with bad knees to get out of the bed since the bed is only one foot off the ground. There are step-downs to get into every room. This could be very dangerous especially in the middle of the night. The outer door was locked by us when we went to bed but was open when we left. I would not feel comfortable leaving valuables in the room if we left for the day. There was only one towel in the bathroom for showers. But, this place was adequate for one night.
