CASA UGOLINO, State of the Art Central 2 Bedrooms Apartment in Lucca

We stayed here in late November and the city was alive with Christmas lights. The windows looked down Via Fillungo and Santa Croce and made our stay a Christmas wonderland. The team at Lucca Apartments and Villas are the best, welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely be back again and again.

One of the nicest rentals that we have ever stayed in. Kitchen was extremely well appointed with all the necessities. Two full baths with walk-in showers…outstanding. We really loved this centrally located apartment!

Apartment in great location and had everything we needed. Few extra pillows

The apartment is magnificent. It is very large, with modern appliances and comfortable. The location is in the middle of the action and everything is 3 to 5 minute walk away. It is not quiet. The corner just below the windows overlooks a busy intersection and people are there until 2 or 3am. The description fails to mention how challenging the 26 steps are to the first floor. My wife and I are in our 70's and the steps were a problem. We also noted some black mold in the shower. All in all it was a fine place to stay in Lucca for more physically fit travelers.

I loved the location of this beautiful apartment! So close to everything - great restaurants, cafes and shopping, all a stone's throw away. Easy access to the city walls. In the apartment, the bedrooms are a good size, and the bathrooms are modern and well equipped with really nice size showers. Bright and airy, with high ceilings and original details. For a long stay, it would be nice to receive more than one kitchen towel. A few things are probably due for replacement - the kitchen kettle worked intermittently, the non-stick pan has much of the surface scratched off, making it unsafe to use, the hair dryer is ineffective.

The apartment is in a great location, at the intersection of the popular via Fillungo, which is teeming with people all day & night, and great views of all the action out the dining room window. There are stairs leading up to the apartment (no lift), but we managed ok with two large bags thanks to a landing between two sets of stairs. The apartment is lovely, just as pictured. The dining table chairs were comfortable the sofa, so-so. The room was well lit. The apartment stayed warm enough in winter. Hallway & bedroom armoires and dresser offered ample storage space. The main bed was comfortable with tables as nightstands per side. A heads up for light sleepers: the bedroom windows didn't keep out the sound very well there was noise from people on the streets well into the wee hours, plus the street cleaner (who makes multiple passes), and delivery & work vehicles starting around 6am. The large shower had decent water pressure, and plenty of hot water for back to back showers. The bathroom had ample storage & was well lit. Kitchen appliances all worked and there was good counter space. The washer/dryer was a plus and a large stendino/clothes drying rack is included. The WiFi was very strong (approx 140Mbps download), perfect for business and streaming! We truly enjoyed our Christmas holidays in this apartment. In all, a lovely place and a good stay.

Our apartment was centrally located in the heart of Lucca. Everything is a short walk away. The kitchen is equipped with all up-to -date appliances. A PAM grocery is nearby, gelato across the street and a great restaurant is around the corner. The HVAC and WiFi worked perfectly and the beds are comfortable. The cook top induction stove needs operating instructions in the welcome book - took a while to guess how the lock worked.

Wonderful apartment, good facilities especially the air conditioning, shower good, location very good on the junction of both main streets of Lucca. Everything within easy walking distance.
