Casa Il Geco Praiano

Great location and place, host was very helpful!

We had a very nice stay in Praiano at Casa Il Geco. It was a beautiful, nicely decorated private house with a great view of the water. We had a small kitchen that helped with our breakfasts and lunches. The bathroom was nice, except we had an issue with one of the shower nozzles. It wasn't able to be fixed during our stay, but some money was given back to us for this reason. Raffaele, who was in charge of the property and dealing with us, was very kind and generous with his time. He gave lots of advice about the town and activities we could do, and was always ready to answer our questions on WhatsApp. There was also an issue with quite a few ants coming into the kitchen area, but again, Raffaele was very prompt with his responses, and the issue was dealt with quickly. We would recommend staying here, if you want to enjoy what Amalfi Coast has to offer without dealing with the craziness of Positano. One downside of Praiano is that there is no Ferry stop there, but it is a short bus ride to Positano or Amalfi if you want to get a ferry. Praiano is quiter, has everything you need, some nice rocky beaches (be ready to walk down and up many steps), and it feels like you are around more actual local people. We had a great stay.

We loved our stay here and wish it could have been longer! Communication was excellent and very accommodating! The walk down to the unit does have some steps so be aware if you have heavy bags/suitcase. The house is very clean, has a very nice kitchen and bathroom, and the bed is so comfy! Beautiful view too! We loved our stay and the wonderful communication made it even better.

This property was everything we wanted. Great location, nice view, and clean. Had everything you would need and the property manager was extremely helpful. 10/10 would recommend.

The apartment was lovely. A short walk from the bus station and the town. Our house manager was very nice and checked in with us often to make sure we were satisfied. He offered recommendations of things to do, places to eat, etc. The apartment was very clean and offered a direct ocean view which is why we picked this place. You will not go wrong with this apartment!

Everything about our stay at Casa II Geco was amazing. We were met at the bus by Raffaele, the property manager, who showed us the way to the house and explained all the logistics. We walked down to the ocean from our front door and the home was quiet and immaculate. This felt like an oases in the busy Amalfi coast because the town is out of the way from the bigger cities, but has everything you need (restaurants, cooking classes, a trail to the Path of the Gods!) I highly recommend Francesco's home and hope we are able to return some day.

Great place, great location… Amalfie coast is magnificent and the boat tour to Capri is a must

We traveled to this location to see, feel and taste Italy. Our stay at this property allowed us to accomplish all of our goals. We enjoyed the morning and evening views of Positano and the Mediterranean Sea, tried most of the wonderful restaurants in town and even participated in a community dinner at the local church. The stay was memorable and made all that much better by the experience at this property.

This was the perfect place for our Praiano get away. We originally checked out Positano but started hearing from people that it’s now crowded and expensive. We heard great things about Praiano and we’re so glad we chose Francesco’s place. He had Raffaele meet us at the bus stop and check us in which was so nice! He gave great recommendations and also explained the town with us. The apartment is super charming and has some of the best sunset views I’ve seen in my life. We rented a Vespa from M.L porter which is a 15 min walk and from there we were able to explore the area (Amalfi and Positano). The marina was a 5 min drive with a ton of really nice restaurants. We will definitely be back!

This is by far the best property I have stayed at. The location is perfect - near the beach and a quick bus ride to both Positano and Amalfi. There are restaurants and a grocery store very close by. Raffaele was wonderful - he made the check-in process very easy and helped us find transportation to Napoli. We could not have asked for a better Amalfi Coast experience.

It was a wonderful week, Amalfi Coast is so amazing. Everytime once more again.
