Stayed Sep 15, 2018This top floor apartment ( hardly what I would call a penthouse) looks more spacious because of the nice rooftop terrace which, in good weather, is a great place to hang out and eat meals. But if it’s not pleasant weather you are stuck in the small living room. The seating in the living room consists of two daybeds, and one small metal chair. Not very comfortable for 4 persons, let alone six. Supplies - like dishes, towels, and drinking glasses - were the bare minimum of one per person. The daily housecleaning sounded nice but there was an additional charge if you wanted fresh towels. And there is no service on Sunday. Since we arrived on Saturday and left on Tuesday morning we basically didn’t get any cleaning service. The laundry was in the basement and the dryer didn’t dry the clothes even after four cycles. The location was convenient and there was a SMALL elevator to get up there. Two ( maybe three) people only or one person and a suitcase. There was a flight of stairs to get to the elevator from street level, so not good for anyone who can’t climb stairs.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I really liked the En Ville apartment`s location, it`s in between the Ramblas and the Eixample Area. I hardly had to use the metro, most places were within walking distance. We had the 4 bedrooms apartment, it was on 2nd floor and I really liked the retro style furniture. Everything was quite clean. There were also 3 bathrooms. The street in front of the apartment building is quite noisy at night, but the apartment had very good windows, which kept the noise out. Just in one bedroom you could hear noises of the other building and also the air ventilation… I also think, that you really get value for money at this place, compared to other holiday apartments in Barcelona. Andreas was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn`t like was, that I couldn`t open the windows in the 3 bedrooms facing the backyard…and there is not much natural light. But maybe in Spanish summer heat, this is an advantage :-). Apart from that, it would be great if they had more kitchen tools (e.g. a cutting board, wooden spoon…) it`s not really sufficient for serious cooking.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Great character property, only 5/10 minutes walk from The Rambles. We were a party of 2 adults and 3 teenagers and found the apartment plenty big enough. The added bonus of the outside space was ideal for breakfast in the sun and chilling at the end of the day with a nice glass of wine. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. A good shower in the bathroom. Andreas was very helpful and only a phone call away should we have needed anything. Also where able to store our luggage on the last day so we could make the most of our time before a late flight home. As this was our first visit to Barcelona we couldn't have asked for better, we will be back.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969I had done a lot of research before choosing this apartment. Location, general neighborhood, feel for then city, amenities, etc. but I really wasn't prepared for just how enveloped you are in the city, like a local, immediately. The apartment is beautiful. Light, open, perfectly spacious. The location is honestly perfect for well, everything; the Cituat Vella, Las Ramblas, the metro to pop over to wherever in 10 minutes, Universitat de Barcelona, funky cool shops, museums, great food (although really look at hours), grocery stores where food is super inexpensive. Truly everything is within walking distance. Andreas and Claudia were fantastic. My phone wasn't working, except for texting, so I had to email them in the airport that I had arrived.... No problem. They were there. If you want to stay in Barcelona and really get the feel for this beautiful city, this is where you need to stay. Hands down, I will come back again.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were greeted by a most genial host - Andreas - who spoke excellent English. He gave us his mobile number to get in touch should we have any issues which provided peace of mind during our stay. The apartment was clean and well located. There are plenty of restaurants and bakeries nearby. We would certainly recommend the property to friends.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We were a party of 8 ( 4 adults & 4 kids...6yo, 8yo, 10yo & 13yo) and we stayed here for 7 days. The appartment is brand new, great rooms, small kitchen, big screen TV, WiFi ( worked sometimes), three bathrooms .The kitchen had very limited utensils, but had a washer/dryer, small frig and small freezer. Apartment looks exactly like the pictures posted. The apartment was clean upon our arrival and Andreas was there to greet us. Location, location was GREAT. It was a market across the alley way and several more all around. Little to no traffic in the alley. Ten minutes walking distance from Las Ramblas and around the corner from Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA). At night it was a little noisy in the alley way, but only if you are in the front bedroom, so bring ear plugs it you are a light sleeper. Lots of shops and restaurants enroute to Las Ramblas. The best part about this rental is Andreas. He is extremely professional and efficient not to mention friendly, caring and responsive. He even agreed to open a Paypal account, since that was the way that we wanted to pay the deposit. This was our first time to Barcelona and renting an apartment and if we return, we will stay here again. Thanks Andreas.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This block of apartments have a great Spanish feel to them, with high cielings and a thoughtful design. We rented a few of the apartments in the building and the top apartment, has three bedrooms and a great terrace with outdoor living area and dining table. We had some problems with the WiFi but as the apartment has only just been renovated and everything is brand new it was understandable and Andreas could not have been more welcoming, patient and hospitable. Looking forward to going back next year.
