Captains: Private Bath , Parking , Walk to town

Great location!

Small but comfortable room. Very clean. Ok neighborhood but a 15-20 minute walk from most places I visited.

The room was very clean, nicely decorated, and very well stocked with amenities. Very well situated, within walking distance to all that Thames St has to offer. The owner was very friendly and the check in/ checkout process simple. We would certainly go back as Newport has so much to offer.

We loved staying at the Callender House. Not only was it beautiful and clean, we also appreciated how centrally located it was; we walked almost everywhere during our stay. Thanks again for a great stay!

Visited Newport for a few days. This property was fantastically located. Thanks Street and all the shops/restaurants were within about a 15 minute walk so we didn't have to deal with the difficult parking. A 10 minute walk also got you to the transportation center where you could hop on the free trolley that took you down to the mansions.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean which is most important, and the location was great. We were a little worried when we entered the property based on the shared foyer, but once we got to the room we were happy. One thing to note is that I believe the listing we reserved from said something like full property or whole house, which is not accurate. Either way, we enjoyed our stay so thank you!

This was a great place to land for two nights while attending a wedding in town. It was walkable to almost everything within 25 minutes...and most things within 10-15 minutes...and some great haunts within 3-5 minutes! Bed was super comfy, bathroom was big enough to change in, and everything was well appointed. The hosts were super responsive and kind.

Fabulous find! Enjoyed this cozy and beautiful room. So many small details that made for a perfect oasis to retreat to after all the wedding activities. Bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, coffee nook had everything I love including yummy snacks, bath was devine. Nice walk or short Uber ride to get to Newport activities! Highly recommend! ⭐️

The property was very clean, welcoming and well located. We stayed in the Captain's suite and it had everything we needed with many nice touches. The location was within walking distance to restaurants, a market, the aquarium, transportation center and Thames street. Enjoy the mansions, trollies, shopping, food, history and a very comfortable place to stay.

This was our second time staying here and we wiil definitely be back. James and Keverne have created a cozy little oasis for guests. I can't say enough...just don't hesitate to book...You'll actually regret it if you don't!
