Stayed Oct 31, 2018First I must mention the hosts. They have our vote for the nicest family in Italy. They were warm and welcoming. The rental is the entire 2nd floor of their lovely home. It has a private entry. The apartment was immaculate and beautifully decorated. It has obviously been completely renovated and is in perfect condition. Everything is very comfortable. We had been staying in the center of historic districts in towns and cities all over Umbria and Tuscany. This was a very nice change to be out in a small village in the country with low mountains around. The peace and quiet was most welcome. It was fairly easy to make day trips to both Lucca and Pisa. Nevertheless, there are some very good restaurants in the vicinity that the hosts can recommend. So you can stay in the countryside and enjoy a good meal there as well. I highly recommend anyone to stay here on a visit to the Lucca area.
