Nice little cabin. Close bike trails.
These cabins are just a short drive from NOC and other white-water kayak and rafting companies, which we really appreciated after a long day on the river. Our cabin had an open floor plan. It met all of our basic needs, we were comfortable, and it had a nice deck and hot tub to enjoy at the end of the day. You do need to drive up a gravel road to get to them, but it doesn't require AWD or 4WD. I will stay here again.
One word to sum up this get away weekend for my boyfriend and I is: PERFECTION.
We enjoyed our weekend getaway. The cabin was just as described and perfect. The hot tub is visible from other cabins so if you want to go skinny dipping you might want to choose one of their other cabins! The only minor issue we had was the TV picture was zoomed in so a significant portion of the image was cut off and we couldn't figure out how to fix it. Overall a great stay though.
Cabin is even more spacious then it looks, very serene and relaxing atmosphere. I enjoyed that I could arrive at my cabin any time after the check in time and did not have to hold anyone up. We came from out of state and it is often super hard to find places as check in has to be no later then 6pm which is often impossible due to travel time. 10/10 would recommend and will likely book again
The bed was a Murphy bed and the mattress was way to soft. It slept terribly. The cabin was clean but dated. The hot tub was nice but would have liked more privacy.
loved the people, the place, property, area and all
Cozy, peaceful, clean, and quiet. Really enjoyed the hot tub!
We enjoyed our time at Nantahala Cabins. With close access to Smokies, all the outdoor activities, train ride in Bryson and breweries, restaurants and grocery. The cabin was super clean! Owner's were very responsive and on site, but non-intrusive. Cabins are spaced so you still have privacy and don't hear other people. Hot tub was in excellent condition, clean and properly chorlinated or brominated (not strong smelling with too free chlorine). Cabin 4 is right near the road, so we had truck traffic noise in the evening and early in mornings. We will be back with the rest of our family for more of the active sports in the future and plan to stay here again.
We had a great time. The hot tub was in excellent condition. The cabin gas fire place kept the place nice and toasty and all the appliances worked well. You are able to hear the traffic on the road a bit, but it is well wooded, so you can't really see the road. If you are looking for basic cabin living, it is sweet and cozy, but no extra frills. The best part (besides the hot tub) was the closeness to hiking and the rivers.
