Walking up to the front porch you smell an unwelcoming smell of trash, which looked like it hasn't been taken out for weeks! But we were thinking we didn't plan on hanging out on the porch very much anyway. The porch boards are bouncy and in need of some reattaching or bracing up. We went upstairs to the apt at first glance it looked very cute, but when you got to the top of the steps the heat smacked us right in the face it was 85 degrees in there, I contacted the OWNER he said that they use the portable ac in areas where the ac has troubles, but he would get the ac repair person out in the morning. So, we went and bought 3 fans (totaling about 100 dollars after tax) to try to make it through the night mind you it was in the 90's outside. Well, it was honestly the worst night imagine being in an attic with No ac well that was us!! One person in our group took their mattress off the bed and took it to the Livingroom because we tried to move the ac upstairs and the breaker blew so we have no electric now upstairs. So, we sent yet another text message asking about the repair person for the ac and told his about the electric he said he was trying to get ahold of them but could drop off another portable ac I but that wouldn't work because the electric. Long story short the owner lied the ac isn't even hooked up, so the repair man was never coming, he never had intentions of fixing the problems which there were many we left this property early and went to hotel with air.
The location and size of the house was great, very clean and spacious the beds were comfortable However there were a lot of safety issues that need to be addressed The railing to a very steep staircase was broken and loose There were many holes in the floor, broken toilet seat and the dinning chairs so flimsy we were scare we would brake and we are not big people The plumbing was a reversed hot and cold the faucet in the kitchen and the bathtub was loose And the host didn’t acknowledge my message Overall clean and good for only a couple of nights
Very clean, quaint, older home in the Mount Washington area. The owner was very attentive and tried his best to make our stay great but there are accessibility issues with the current downstairs apartment tenant. The area is safe with plenty of on-street parking but there is a lot of construction in the area. The apartment has been renovated but is in need of continuous repairs. The flooring was detached in a few places and the single bathroom is very small with accessibility limits to the toilet and vanity. The WIFI signal was extremely weak and we could not get our cell phones to connect. The Owner tried to reset it but it did not help the signal. The current tenant occupying the downstairs apartment is not taking trash to the curb and it looked to be weeks worth of trash on the side of the house. The downstairs tenant also locked the front door entrance and denied our party accessibility to the property in 5 degree weather for an hour at night. The off-site property owner gets credit for his efforts trying to make our stay comfortable but the downstairs tenant made the stay challenging. This apartment cute and is close to amenities and has a lot of potential if the owner can resolve the downstairs neighbor issues.

I came with my friends for a Pitt Football game and had a blast. The apartment is modest and slightly dated but overall it does the job and at a very affordable price. Everything was clean, and there is a really great view of the Pittsburgh Skyline from a few of the windows. The only issue that came up was a fire alarm outside of the bathroom kept going off (it seemed to be triggered by steam from showers?). That aside, the stay was perfect for us. Thank you again!
Great place to stay. Lots of room, felt safe, clean and very comfortable. Would stay here again!
