Property was as expected. Far enough away to feel like you are on a retreat, yet still close enough to attractions to get there in minutes. Decorated so that you feel like you are staying at your favorite relatives. Nice, quiet and relaxing!

Check in was easy. Everything we needed was there. We stayed two nights. The cottage is very cute and clean. I couldn't tell that the cottage is pet friendly, which was nice. Lydia was kind and informative. I would stay here again.

This was a very beautiful and well maintained place to stay at! It was arranged a bit different from the photos but there was no problem with that! Check in was quite easy, and the kitchen was very clean and nice, having a microwave, coffee pot, etc. My pup loved it and it was the perfect size for just me and her. Bathroom was tidy, and there was even a broom inside that you could clean the floor with if any stray grass found its way inside. Definitely would stay again!

Lydia was amazing, her property is beautiful and her mini donky jack was silly, the horses were beautiful and the pond was well taken care of! The birdland cottage was a very relaxing home base for my constant in and out, and the bed was top notch in comfort! The water gets nice and hot, and everything is pretty well as shown in pictures.

The property is definitely as described in the pictures. The host is very available and works hard to make sure everything is welcoming for you.

Nice little cottage with bird decor as shown in listing. The owner seemed nice, communicating only thru VRBO emails. Driving back and forth to the property was a little nerve-wracking the final mile. A creek runs over the road (literally), so since it had been raining, there was torrential flooding across the roadway in that section. (A trench should be dug there with a simple wooden bridge to avoid a future catastrophe. To be fair, the flooding wasn't on the owner's personal property.) The water rushing quickly over the road was ~18 inches deep. We weren't sure we were going to be able to make it out safely. If there's rain in the forecast, we don't recommend driving a small car. Listing incorrectly shows 2 bathrooms. (Only need 1.) Wifi is beyond slow. We did a wifi speed test, and the upload and download speeds were between .3 and 1.4 Mbps. It would take ~20 minutes to load a single page for viewing. (It was much worse than the dial-up AOL days.) Difficult to communicate with owner when at the cottage since we didn't want to wait that long to log into VRBO on the slow internet. Owner never texted our phone, but we did discover some VRBO messages upon our return home. TV didn't have any apps, and none of the common channels we usually watch were an option. When we're on vacation, sometimes we'll watch something from our laptop, but since the internet speed was slower than a snail, that wasn't possible. My husband really enjoyed the views outside.
