Stayed overnight at this property. It was very nice and was everything I expected. The location is beautiful and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I would love to stay here for an extended time.
Amazing, no working hot tub was the only minor glitch
This is a large penthouse condo with a great view of the slopes and the valley east of Whitefish. A couple of things to know, especially if you are coming from a significantly more southern locale - summer days are very long (it was light from 5 a.m. until almost 11 p.m.) - while there are blinds on the lower windows, the large windows at the top which let in such beautiful light during the day could also keep you up at night (and almost certainly wake you early in the morning). The hot tub that is mentioned was not present when we visited, so we could not avail ourselves, but would not have anyway when it is over 100F during the day. That also meant that the noise that others complained about did not exist, which was a happy trade off for us. The air conditioning (the only unit in the whole building that has A/C is this one) did not seem to work at all - air circulated, but did not cool, and it was easily 80F at night. This was brough to the attention of the front desk, who seemed to think we should be happy to have air moving, as it was more than other folks have. Whether they did anything about it or not was hard to tell - on the second night, we had the exact same temperature (but we found the box fan behind a couch), and it did seem to cool off the third night. It was easy to find, parking is super accessible under the condo, and the entire area is a fantastic way to spend a few days.
This property was great for our use. We wanted a place that was close to Glacier National Park and this condo fit that bill. It was a nice condo on top of a beautiful mountain in the quaint little city of Whitefish.
The apartment was beautiful and clean. View was incredible. The only concerns were wi-fi (virtually nonexistent) and the adjacent deck. The adjacent deck is a public deck (as advertised to be sure) and was very nice given that there were relatively few people staying at the complex. The first night Security kindly asked people to leave at 10:30PM (and they did) and there were no issues the other nights. It would be an issue though if the complex was full and the hot tub were open. Wouldn't stay there again for this reason.
Resort was nearly empty, but still required to check out at 10am, which is the earliest check out I've ever had. Late check out was in available. Shops closed except one restaurant (August stay). Efficient staff. Food there was surprisingly good especially for the money. There happened to be a local Mountain Bike race that evening which was the highlight of the stay. Room was clean, very large and well furnished. Felt like the best condo on the mountain as its like the Penthouse suite in the newest/Central building. Very convenient to the spa and large deck. Only issues with the condo were a few of the large windows wouldn't function well. Half of the Shade drawstrings were broken. Reminded me of the wear and tear on a rental! Front desk said parts were on order. Also, the Panasonic surround sound was on the fritz. If you bypass and use the TV speakers, you can have sound. Someone had turned on the subtitles, so may have been an issue for some time. Biggest is sure for me was the ventilation which couldn't be turned off. On the louder side. Could have been so peaceful....but wasn't. Shampoo and soap provided, which not all VRBO do.
