Summary:

Book your stay at the historic Whiskey Row Lofts in the heart of Louisville's cultural, commercial, and entertainment district! The location and experience can't be replicated: you'll be directly above Whiskey Row, the center of Louisville's bourbon tourism.

Just steps from Louisville's major event centers, and distilleries, blocks from Museum Row, and less than a mile from the trendy NuLu Arts District, there's no shortage of entertainment for any traveler.>

The Space:

Experience the unique architectural features of one of the city's flagship historic buildings. Natural light pours into the open kitchen and living area through 12' windows and soaring 30' ceilings. Renovations preserved the original exposed brick walls, wood molding, and salvaged beam stairways.

Whiskey Row Lofts is listed on the National Historic Registry for it's Italian Renaissance Revival architecture, featuring a beautiful limestone façade, Corinthian columns, and well preserved interior. Home of the original Galt House, hosting famous guests such as Charles Dickens and Civil War generals, the building burned down in 1865 and was rebuilt in 1877 as the headquarters of the L&N Railroad, which became one of the most successful regional railways of the 19th and 20th centuries.

Placed right in the energetic heart of Whiskey Row, our spot offers the ultimate urban experience for those eager to dive into the excitement of downtown Louisville. This isn't your typical quiet getaway—expect vibrant nights and lively days amidst the city's top bourbon spots and bustling streets. Perfect for guests who want to live like locals and savor every moment of Louisville's dynamic culture and nightlife. Embrace the buzz—this is city living at its best!

We booked this loft due to the location. We did enjoy the nightlife and that their was a lot of things that are within walking distance. The food and energy was great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We drove into town so had to park in the parking lots around the loft. I would not recommend renting this loft if you have a car. We were recommended a parking garage for $25 a night and they charging us $45. We couldn’t find anybody to explain why the price difference. The other parking lot we parked in our car was broken into. They broke my driver side, passenger window and four other cars in the lot also got broke in. Also, if you are trying to get into the house early cause you show up a little early, they do charge $21 an hour to access the loft. We did find it different that there is an additional door lock on the bedroom door that you have to have a code to open. I believe we will come to Louisville again, but we will stay at a place that has a safe place to park. At the price we were charged it was just not worth it.

It was in the heart of downtown the Louisville with loads of dining options. My husband and I travel to Louisville quite a bit so we know the area pretty well. Parking can be a challenge for this spot, but if you plan ahead, you can park your car your entire stay and get around downtown by foot because everything is so close. The loft had just about everything we needed…(coffee pods, pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils, salt and pepper, iron and ironing board even!). This place was the coolest to check into even (felt like a speakeasy or an escape room kind of!). The view was really cool (overlooked the yum center!). We had some issues with the wifi (not the host’s fault) but he was so quick to respond to my messages! Place was beautiful and clean. We will be back!

A wonderful stay at a great place. Convenient location two blocks from my office, across the street from Yum and within easy walking distance of the convention center. Great nightlife less than a stone’s throw away. I look forward to booking for my next trip in a couple months. Don’t bother with a car, most things are less than an uber away from the door.

This apartment was beautiful, in a historic building, high above all of the noise, and above some fantastic restaurants and bars! It was surprisingly insulated from outside noise! The owners were immediately responsive to my request for cooking pots and pans and brought them over so I could use the full and very clean kitchen. Because it’s an older building, some neighbor noise could be heard very nearby from the upstairs, though overall they were quiet. Larry, the security guard, was amazingly kind, welcoming, and fantastic at his job. I hope someone shuts off the alarm beeping in the lobby so Larry can have some sanity.A homeless man sleeps on the front stoop off Main Street overnight, so be sure to go out the back door where the security guard is to not disturb him.

This condo is in the PERFECT spot on Whiskey Row! Mere steps take you to at least a dozen bar/restaurants. A short walk brings you to several distilleries on the Bourbon Trail. The building has charm but with all modern amenities. Convenient parking right across the street, clear check-in and check-out communications from the owners, wonderful views out to Main Street, and a clean, comfortable condo are all reasons we'll stay here again on our next visit to Louisville!

Great small loft. Walking distance to everything. Parking is expensive. The fire escape door had a peephole to the bathroom/bedroom. Awesome building and nice light.
