Beautiful, Historic and Private Retreat for Couples-limit 2 people

The quiet atmosphere was very romantic

Everything was perfect! It is quiet, safe, centrally located & everything that we could have wanted. My partner said that it was like staying in a treehouse, being up on stilts, amongst the trees & birds. Thank you for a lovely vacation!

We LOVED The Studio! Debbie was a fantastic host and responded quickly to our questions. The studio was beautiful and very well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was great. We really loved the location as we were able to easily walk to the harbor and nearby shops and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

The Studio is fully equipped for cooking. Furnishings are beautiful and comfortable. Bed is super comfortable. There is a desk if you need to work. We've only stayed in Winter so haven't made use of the outside deck and furnishings but they seem perfect for grilling and relaxing outside. Debbie is a terrific host..

Check in was super easy and the place was ready to go for our visit. It was clean and well appointed, with everything we needed to make food and have an awesome trip. Really convenient to restaurants, shops and things to do. The beds are comfortable and though we didn't use it, they even have a grill and a nice private courtyard to spend time in.

Everything was absolutely wonderful!! Debbie is an attentive host that will address any concerns or questions; she is also extremely knowledgeable about the island. The Studio is welcoming, artistic and peaceful. We appreciate the thoughtful layout, the comfortable bed, the full kitchen, and the beautiful patio.

Enchanting studio has everything you need including linens. The artistry in building, designing, decor, and color pallet were magical. Gorgeous statues as well. I’ll include a few pics but they are only from my phone. I would recommend to family & friends as well as return there myself in the future. The host was key in my decision to continue to the island eventhough there was talk of more overwash. She was right & everything was fine.

The VRBO rating app was glitchy during this review. Everything sb 5 stars! Great location, We did a fair bit of cooking, the kitchen was super- loved that it had a gas range! It’s a special place!

Very relaxing stay at the studio, even after arriving on the heels of a hurricane. The studio is tastefully decorated, has beautiful artwork and higher end kitchenware. The outdoor space is private with a relaxing atmosphere. Debbie, our host, is sweet, thoughtful and generous. She helped us out a great deal with the ferries and was willing to adjust our dates if we couldn’t make it there as scheduled because the island was still under evacuation from the hurricane the day before we were set to arrive. There is a lot to do within walking distance and the island has a free tram service. We enjoyed the studio so much and we are already planning a return trip. You won’t be disappointed!! This was our second stay at The Studio and we enjoyed our stay even more than the first time. The Studio is very comfortable, very clean and we felt so at home here. The kitchen is well equipped for a quick meal or more. The out door space is lovely and the out door shower is a favorite of ours. We just love staying here - so relaxing! Our trip was cut short due to a mandatory evacuation order for Hurricane Erin --- however our host Debbie was extremely helpful in keeping us up to date on the latest developments. We appreciate all her help, she truly looks out for her guests.The Studio and Debbie are real gems on Ocracoke!We will be returning to The Studio in the future.Andrea & Charlie

Beautiful property lovely host

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at the Studio! While the rain kept us off the beach, the Studio was truly a comfortable place to read and rest. We had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. We will definitely be back for another stay! Wonderful place to be and a tremendous host. Thank you so much, Debbie, for having us.

1 week stay at this well appointed studio. Private courtyard, outdoor shower and colorful art make this a “home”. You retreat to the courtyard to hear birdsong as Jasmine fragrances the gentle breezes. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Absolutely perfect spot for my partner and I to spend 5 days reconnecting and soaking in Ocracoke. We loved the studio and it had everything we needed. The outdoor shower and private deck area were so peaceful and added to the island experience.

It was a great place to have a base camp as we enjoy the islands attractions!

Great space inside and outside. The Studio provides everything you need to experience Ocracoke. We've stayed here many times before and hope to be back many times again!

The Studio was perfect for our 43rd anniversary. Such a beautifully decorated place you just feel embraced and comfortable. We recommend the Studio to anyone who loves to relax and enjoy Ocracoke's ambiance.

This is a great place to get away and enjoy nature (and history)! Everything you need will be provided, so you can enjoy your time away with as much or as little interaction with others as you would like. We never needed anything, but contact information for assistance is clearly provided in multiple locations and formats; I have no doubt additional needs would be satisfied promptly. If you want a laid back beach vacation, go to Ocracoke. If you are going as a couple, it’s hard to imagine staying anywhere better than the Studio.

This was the perfect space for our first adventure as “empty nesters” on Ocracoke. It was a great location for home base for walks, restaurants, biking and the beach!

A lovely hideaway... fabulous, beautiful decor, nice attention to detail, the courtyard and the outdoor shower are great! Plus cleanliness and privacy too. We felt so relaxed and comfortable here, like in a tree house, a home away from home! We loved the entire atmosphere of The Studio.
