Stayed May 2, 2025This is a fancy tea cup in the woodsWhen I walked in, I felt like Shrek invading some princess place where she makes her tea parties... or rather, Ferdinand in the china store...I am a man of practicality, I see function rather than aesthetics (I was attracted to the oven -I baked a loaf here-)... and to be frank I was afraid to step into this little place. Jumped into my eyes however, that this teacup studio is loaded with feminine touches all around. Every little corner is carefully thought out. Colors, motifs, space, lighting, makes this place come alive. The back yard is NOT a yard, it is rather reminiscent of The Secret Garden where a vine keeps its guard, and where the industry of inexhaustible hard working hands is evident: Herbs, trees, shrubs, even an olive tree and green blades manicured to beauty. My wife was delighted to be greeted by birds (birders can speak in birdie, their own language even in England, dont ask me how she does it), and also by bees and other little gentle beings, who seem to be attracted to the garden. Come 4:45 on the sunday, and a Song Thrush (this is a bird by the way), makes its grand entrance with a solo lasting 5 minutes, of intrincate phrases that were uttered as if he was Gabriel on his visitation. Once done, he left the scene to the quiet stillness of the blue brisk dawn.Stayed here for a weekend, and was left wanting for more. This place is of someone whose passion is green at heart. Will b back 4 sure

Stayed Jan 13, 2025Spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated, quiet and private garden setting. It is so refreshing to experience one on one hospitality, rather than deal with online property managers who send scripted emails. Joanna and Paul were so welcoming and kind. Hope to return when possible.

Stayed Jul 8, 2024A lovely studio flat, well equipped and with all amenities needed as a good base. The studio in a good position for those able to walk into the city or avail of the public transport. We also drove to other areas including the American Cemetery and Saffron Walden. A very pleasant stay as the first part of our East Anglian holiday.
