Welcome to Snappers on Straddie, a boutique 5 unit complex in the heart of Point Lookout. Positioned at the front of the complex on the ground level this unit boasts 100sqm of internal space with polished concrete floors. The unit has a large open plan living/dining area with air-conditioning and there is a chef's kitchen with Island timber bench tops. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there are also two single beds in the living area. The unit opens out onto a relaxing garden area with aBBQ and outdoor seating for your use. Please note that the garden area is used by other guests for access to the other apartments.

At the front of the property there is a communal laundry with washing machine and dryer, a storage area for the surf boards and beach toys as well as an outdoor hot/cold shower for guests to rinse off after a day at the beach. Positioned close to a bus stop and an easy walk to all beaches and local shops, you won’t need to bring the car. There is a pedestrian gate to the right of the property that provides access to an easement which leads to Frenchman’s and Deadman’s Beach via the Whale Track. There is also access to free street parking.

    The property was adequate for our short over the weekend stay on North Stradbroke Island. The property was clean and appeared to have amenities advertised. However, the property lacked a working air conditioner and when I enquired about an electric gate not operating, I was informed by the real estate that the owner wasn't going to make the gate operational due to past experiences with previous guests. I did eventually bring my car in from the road and a steep driveway by manually pushing the electric gate open. The beds were comfortable and there is adequate kitchen with a large fridge.

    We loved this property - the location, the open plan living and it had a lovely feel. Perfect beach holiday retreat. Plus the price was so reasonable. I will definitely be back.

    The layout of the unit and cleanliness of the unit overall was good. Suggestions for improvement would be: Air the unit out more, it smelt very musty. Bathroom linen needs attention, one towel had a large hole and another had dirt marks on it. Mark parking area with better signage.
