Stayed May 25, 2024The location of this property is amazing - it's right across from the beach with a lifeguard stand; close to stores, groceries, restaurants. Very close to a tram stop if you want to cruise up the coast. The actual unit needs....a lot. It came with nothing - no toilet paper, no soap, no trash bags. We had to pay extra for towels and linens and to have the unit cleaned unless we wanted to do it. (Not sure how we would have done that, there was a vacuum and mop but no cleaning supplies.) After renting the unit I contacted the owner and asked about linens and towels and so I did know I would need to pay extra for those, but only because I asked. There were no trash bags and after check in we went back to the property manager and asked about that and were told we had to supply our own trash bags (who brings trash bags on a vacation?) and we had to dispose of our own trash. And the dumpster was right outside but you had to pay 50 euro cents to dump the trash. The only recycling was for glass bottles, which was free. There was no toilet paper in the unit! What on earth? There was a dishwasher with no dishwasher cleaner. None of this was noted in the listing. The property managers didn't even tell us about the trash until we asked about it. The unit also needs a lot of work. It has been lived in hard. Windows broken, curtains broken, blinds in disrepair, water marks and other damage to walls. Not the worst place I've stayed but by far not the best.

Stayed Jul 9, 2022The appartment is placed on the 6th floor, so e broken lift is not good. But that is the only bad thing to say. The wiev, the location, the parking possibilities and the beach makes Davids appartment a hidden pearl. Ostend could be southern Europe - but just much easier.
