BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT 10 MINUTES FROM DOWNTOWN

A great apartment equipped with all the essentials you need for a great stay in Catania. The host is very responsive and always available for assistance.

Sonia the owner was very friendly in messages - we didn’t meet her as her nephews showed us the flat and garage (extra cost). She usually replied within a few hours. The apartment is on the first floor of a block with approx 8 floors, with more blocks surrounding it; safe but not attractive. The flat felt as if a relative had recently moved out - homely but not very restful, some clothes were still in the wardrobe, and a whole room was closed off. The kitchen was fairly well equipped. The bathroom was adequate but the towels were very old and thin. The bedroom had a very hard mattress and thin, old pillows. All clean but I found it very difficult to sleep. The city centre *is* in theory 5-10 minutes away but the almost constant hectic traffic means that it is more likely to be 15-30 minutes’ drive especially during the week. The parking will take some time too! Definitely 20+ minutes’ walk downhill into the centre - longer on the way back uphill! There are no places to eat nearby except a burger cafe. A food shop is within a few minutes’ walk for the basics. In all, it was fine to use as a base, reasonably priced, but not convenient for the bustling city centre where all the places of interest are.

The house is a jewel, also comfortable and spacious. In my case the location is ideal, very good area and next to the house I grew up in. Perfect!

We had a great time in the apartment. Using it as a base to explore beautiful Catania. It was a sizeable apartment, excellent value for money and only a short walk to lots of sightseeing opportunities. It has all the facilities you require. Including the option of hiring a private garage if with a hire car. I would fully recommend anyone to book the apartment. Discover authentic Catania at your leisure.

An apartment that perfectly met our needs and expectations. There was everything we needed including a garage for our rental car. The apartment is situated close to centre in a quiet street at night. Very helpful and responsive communication with the owner. An accidental incident with the water system was handled prompt and professionally by the owner. The beds where fine but the mattresses a bit hard compared to our preference which is the only downside I can think of.
