Peyia, Paphos
A beautiful two bedroom apartment tastefully furnished, offering accommodation for up to 5 guests. On entering the property there is a large open plan dining and living area. A well equipped kitchen is available. Leading through the hallway to the master bedroom and to the twin bedded room, both with ample storage. A family bathroom with shower over bath is located between the two bedrooms. The master bedroom enjoys views of lower Peyia and out to sea. A balcony extends the length of the lounge and bedroom where you can sit and read, eat or enjoy the sunset.
The Vanessa Luxury resort is set in the beautiful village of Peyia, 16 km from Paphos. The complex offers ideal self catering accommodation for those guests that want to holiday at their own pace. The property looks down the village and out to sea, and to the side the stunning views of the mountains.
The Vanessa complex is a large complex with plenty of outdoor facilities to suit most needs. At the center of the complex is a very large swimming pool with steps leading down allowing easy access for guests with mobility issues or young children. There is an indoor pool, a small splash pool, a basic gym and a dry sauna.
We had a great stay at the apartment, it is a little far from shops but apart from that everything was great
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Vanessa complex. The apartment was a good size and was comfortable. The apartment is in a good location and is close to the bars and restaurants in the village. The one thing that we did not like was there are no umbrellas around the pool and no areas with shade which wasn’t ideal when travelling with a toddler but the swimming pool was really nice and there are plenty of sunbeds around.
Overall the good outweighed the bad. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the flat----and the air conditioner could only be set for a maximum of 2 hours, before resetting---this was not optimal when trying to sleep through the night. Also, the key fab, on the key chain, needed for the air conditioner to work was not explained in the arrival instructions.
This is a lovely apartment with everything you need for a relaxing break. A south facing sea view from the balcony, plenty of room to spread out inside and out, a lovely pool area and walking distance to a few shops, bars, tea shops and a supermarket. The area is very peaceful too. It's not the last word in luxury- some of the fittings and the bedding are looking a little tired - but for the price it is great value. Some things to be aware of: If you arrive late at night like us you need to know the apartment is one floor up from the garage and the lift faces inwards. We took a while to work it out and unfortunately woke some neighbours. This is explained in the instructions found inside the apartment but not in the ones sent to us by the agent. It is a VERY steep hill up to Peyia village centre and in the heat we found it too much. We found great restaurants in Coral Bay but you need a car to get there. If you have a car turn right at the bottom of the road and you will find Phillipos supermarket with everything you could possibly need. Much bigger and better stocked than the one in Peyia village. There is a small gym on the property but if you're looking for something tougher Tower Fitness is only 15 mins walk (not too steep) and charges €8.50 day rate or €28 for the week. A very professional outfit with full weight lifting equipment and every type of machine you could need. It is also air conditoned. Next time I'll book in for the week. Thank you for a great holiday. It won't be our last in Cyprus.
