Stayed Jan 3, 2025Perfectly located just a short stroll to the beach, the beach house has all you could need - well stocked kitchen, jacuzzi, outdoor dining area and good AC. Spotlessly clean and charming host. Strongly recommend.

Stayed Dec 11, 2023The apartment is very clean and updated. The outside living area is lovely, and the hosts are a dream to deal with. One consideration, however, is the area around the property - it might have been the time of year we were there (early December) but we had a very hard time finding restaurants that were open within 15 minutes in any direction. Make sure you have a car, and make sure you have some groceries on hand in case you miss the narrow windows in which the restaurants seem to be open.

Stayed Feb 23, 2023The lodging was well appointed, clean and is walking distance to restaurants and the ocean. It is also a convenient spot from which to drive to any other point in Basse-Terre.

Stayed Apr 10, 2019Our daughter is spending five months on the island as part of her third year at university - she’s doing French as part of her degree. This was a brilliant opportunity to visit this beautiful island. We needed somewhere close to Malendure where she is working and we needed space for our son to do some A level revision. The Beach house fit our needs and more. Laurence and Denis were super hosts, waiting for us to arrive in the early evening and provided breakfast goodies for our first morning. We loved the house - cooking, eating and living in the outdoor side of the house, as well as enjoying the views and hot-tub. The bedrooms were superbly comfortable and the whole place was so well equipped. During our stay we visited the zoo, went scuba diving, snorkelling (when we saw fish and turtles), sat in the hot spring at Bouillante, evening swims in the sea, looking for whales and dolphins (no whales but apparently they were within a 50km radius of our boat!) Our daughter wanted to visit Pointe des Chateaux and we dipped our toes in the Atlantic. Our daughter showed us the local fruit and veg stores run by the local people - incredibly fresh and succulent fruit. We ate out a couple of evenings in local restaurants where fish is high on the menu. Every meal was beautifully prepared and presented. This is a very special holiday home and we have loved having this as a base to explore the island. All four of us enjoyed a fantastic few days together. Thank you to Laurence and Denis.

Stayed Mar 2, 2019We thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful property. It is a beautiful home and tropical grounds. We loved how beautifully decorated it was - in both the interior and outdoors spaces. The attention to every detail was very much appreciated. The bedding was linen and lovely, the bathroom was large, modern and heavenly. The view and evening sunsets over the ocean were incredible. The outdoors kitchen and eating area were well appointed and enjoyed. We ate lunch in the towns we explored but have enjoyed cooking dinner and enjoying the sunset from the lovely patio - you couldn’t ask for a nicer table and view in a restaurant. There's also an outdoor 'living room' and fun bar to enjoy the sunsets or early mornings. On top of all this, there is a jacuzzi and loungers surrounded by a tropical garden. We enjoyed the local wildlife and birds in the garden and your written information about them was appreciated. We had a great week exploring this beautiful island. Right down the road is the beach Anse Caribe. We dove with the local scuba shop, the women who manages it is helpful and charming. There are local restaurants & a Crepe food truck which you can walk to. The owners provided us with such special touches, locally made items; fresh fruit, coffee, toast and jam. It was wonderful to relax and enjoy the first day without having to run to the store right away. The Ti-Punch and fresh juice our first night while watching the ocean sunset was memorable. Thank you for sharing your enchanting property with us. We are enjoying a wonderful stay here.
