What a gem! For such a small town, there was no shortage of things to do! Great restaurants within walking distance, sea kayaks, the ferry to isle au haut. We were only there a few short days in passing, but I could’ve easily spent a week or more just relaxing! Clean, cozy home. Easy in easy out! My only negative thing to say (which isn’t fair due to no fault of the rental) is the driveway is fairly step, and a low profile car needed some creativity getting in and out! There was however room on the street if needed.

My wife and I had an absolutely beautiful stay at this home - one of our favorites ever. It was stocked with all necessary linen items we could need, a full kitchen, and was very clean. Every night and every morning we sat on the porch and watched the lobster boats float in and out of the water with a candle lit & beverage in hand. The beds were comfortable. House was secure and easily walkable to the quiet fishing shops and restaurants. It is worth noting that Stonington is not the typical tourist town - it’s only got a few shops and restaurants - but that’s part of what makes it so magical! As this was my first visit to Maine, I would recommend to research this VRBO location in proximity to other activities you may want to do here. For example, we drove to Bar Harbor & Acadia Park one day and it was about 1 hr 20 mins away - reasonable for a day trip! I would definitely recommend this spot to a couple looking for a romantic getaway. Thank you for this stunning property!

We loved our first trip to Maine and are so glad we stayed in Stonington away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The Mail Boat to Isle of Haut and Duck Harbor is a must.

Great property and location. From here we drove into Acadia National Park and it was not to far. It was also a very quiet and comfortable place to stay and sleep. Would love to stay at this house again! Thank u Vrbo for making it easy and enjoyable.

We had a short but very nice stay. It was clean and had everything we needed (except the hairdryer that was listed). It was off-season so very quiet. Just a short walk to town. The bed was super comfy and the Smart TV and wifi came in handy. Would definitely go back. Note to rental company: There is a lot of dog poop in the yard. Maybe from local pups, but just an fyi.
