BATTISTA apartment in Santa Maria Novella square

Location of apartment was fantastic. Close to everything, easily walkable. Great restaurants close by. Great communication with host. Spacious apartment. Great place to spend our time in Florence.

I was greeted by Sergio. He spent a long time, showing me a map of the surrounding area and left the map with me. He also had a binder with all the places Florence had to visit. The apartment was beautifulI especially loved being on the Santa Maria Novella Piazza. There were restaurants right outside my door with outdoor seating. I can go on. I simply loved it.

We can't say enough about this apartment, it is just beautiful! Excellent location, and the hosts were fantastic. We were greeted by Sergio at the door, gave us a tour and provided us with so much information, even a little history of Florence. He was so kind and helpful. Much care was taken by the owners to provide every thing their guests needed to feel welcome and at home. The attention to detail was amazing, the apartment is so well cared for. We were provided with coffee, and some treats, which were in a basket on the kitchen table, towels laid out on the beds. A city map was also provided and a book with information about the apartment such as using the dishwasher, check out instructions, where to dine, places to visit, using public transportation. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed at. We absolutely loved this place, we highly recommend it! Thank you Chiara and Sergio for making our stay in Florence such a pleasant one.

As we entered the apartment we knew we were in Italy. The decor is amazing. The apartment is roomy and provides for all your needs. You walk out the front door to see cafes ready to serve you delicious food. The square is alive and you have a view of a beautiful church. We walked everywhere we needed to go so you definitely get a feel for the city. I highly recommend this apartment. You will definitely be very pleased.

The apartment was large, comfortable and beautifully appointed. The HVAC, plumbing and appliances all worked perfectly. The location in Santa Maria Novella square was a short walk from the train station and all of the major sites of Florence. The owner's father met us at the door and explained everything. We could not ask for a better renting experience.

Wonderful stay. Location is amazing. Right in the heart of Florence. 5-10 minute walk to Duomo. And extremely close to train station. Hosts were very nice, with thoughtful small touches like chocolates. The space was very large for Europe. Had some nice classic touches and well appointed. Comfortable beds and amazingly quiet for such a central location.

This is the place to stay in Florence. The property is located in the centre of the city a short walk from the train station. Located on the beautiful Sante Maria Novelle Piazza. There are dozens of great restaurants in the area. Most of the tourists attractions are a short walk away. You can arrange a 90 minute cart ride tour to get to the rest. The apartment is fabulous. Totally what we expected and wanted. Filled with Italian charm and character. It was spotlessly clean. It had all the amenities that we needed with nice extras like coffee, muffins and chocolate goodies. The air conditioning worked great. Chiara and Sergio where a dream to work with. Sergio gave us a great orientation of the area on our arrival and check in was smooth and easy. Bonus there was a lift to get your luggage up to floor the apartment was located. What a fantastic apartment. The owners were lovely and gave us some great advice of places to see. Only a few blocks from the train station and the Duomo. What a find. We will be going back there again.

My girlfriend & I stayed here for 5 nights in early October on a 3 1/2 week trip thru Italy. We chose it for it's close proximity to the train station. It made getting in and out of Florence a breeze with our bags. Chiara was 5 stars about working with us during the booking process (even helping when we had to eliminate one night as our train connection didn't work out as we had hoped). Sergio, who checked us in was just as good. Great English skills, and even greater recommendations for restaurants (don't miss the bistecca at Trattoria Trebbio just down V. Belle Donne from SMN!!) What a perfect recommendation! They were both the best hosts we could have asked for. Even when we had the wifi router fail on us a couple of nights into the stay, they both drove into Florence from 45 min out of town at 9pm to try to fix it on a Saturday night!! It remained a problem thru the rest of the stay, but not because of them not working hard to fix it. We had a new router the day after, but that failed too on the day we were to leave. Not a real problem for us, but hope you got it all sorted out finally Chiara. We were also able to leave our bags after check out for a few hours before catching our train out to Cinque Terre. Thanks so much. Upon check-in, we found they had stocked the apartment with plenty of basic essentials - even cookies on a tray. What a joy - we had a large bottle of water in the frig, tea, coffee, sugar, creamers, etc. Great hot pot for my tea; 2 different coffee makers for my girlfriends coffee habit. As for the apartment itself - it is pretty much as the pictures show. It was very quiet (which is what we wanted), but had no view to speak of. The kitchen and twin bedroom windows look out to the side/back of a building and a some greenery with fresh air available. The windows in the double bedroom, bath & hall open onto a ventilation/open shaft about 8'x8' that goes down into the restaurant below. It does get some natural light but not much, and there is some minimal restaurant noise until about 11 pm. After that it was very quiet. If view is important to you, this might not be the place. We peeked into the other smaller apartment as it was being cleaned when we left and the views there were fabulous. For us, wanting quiet and 2 bedrooms, it was perfect. Depending on your needs, I would definitely recommend this place. It was more than comfortable, convenient and GREAT HOSTS. Really, what more can you ask for.
