Stayed Aug 27, 2025Everything about this vrbo was practically perfect for my stay. It had plenty of street parking in front of the property, the cutest ambiance, and gave great recommendations for eateries and activities. The hosts provided toiletries, extras you wouldn’t even think you’d need (ear plugs/mending kit) and had a great variety of teas and coffee for the morning time. Just a heads up (I wasn’t bothered by this but some might) you can hear people very well upstairs and outside. It’s a basement unit that’s closed off from the rest of the house so take that into consideration. Everything about the check in/out process was very smooth and clear. If you’re not familiar with Seattles recycling, they provide a handy sheet of what is “trash, recycling, compost.” Overall a great stay and I would stay here again!

Stayed Jun 20, 2025My wife and I arrived at the Bright Ballard Abode with only the most basic and general of expectations. Sure, the pictures all looked good – and the price was certainly right – but there weren't any reviews posted on VRBO, which had us just a little bit leery.Well, we made our way up to the door, opened it, walked in and...Wow!Wow! Wow! Wow!The Bright Ballard Abode was – and is – pretty dang' awesome.First of all, the place was immaculate. Not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and everything just seemed like it was all in the right place.Secondly, the Abode was cute. There's kinda' a mid-century modern sort of vibe to the place, which is stylish and (here's that word again) cute.Thirdly, the kitchen had everything we needed. The knives were sharp, the dishes were clean, and there were tons of different accessories and doo-dads available. Heck, there was even a counter top convection oven and a food processor. Had we been doing an extended stay the refridgerator would have been smaller than we'd like, but we were only in the Abode for two nights. Now, as a quick heads up – a literal heads up – this isn't a space for anyone over six foot four inches. Myself, I'm six feet tall, and though the ceiling didn't even come close to hitting my head, I definitely felt the presence of the ceiling while walk about inside.Anyways... If you're looking for a place to stay in the Ballard neighborhood, I highly recommend the Bright Abode.Unless you're 6'4 or taller.

Stayed Jun 11, 2025This is a basement apartment in a nice neighborhood in Ballard. It's farther than walking distance from downtown Ballard, so be ready to drive or rideshare. This is a basement apartment (albeit a nice one), so it has some associated disadvantages. When people are in the house upstairs it gets pretty loud. It would quiet down at night, so I assume the upstairs sleeping quarters are on the second story of the house. Also the upstairs plumbing runs through the apartment and occasionally there was a loud rushing water sound. Again, all expected with a basement apartment. The space is bright, clean, and well furnished. There is a small but serviceable kitchenette. A nice bathroom with great water pressure in the shower and a double vanity. There is also a full-sized washer and dryer.
