Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sixty-three years of paradise still captivates me. In spite of progress which has commercialized the old village & added hotels, JI remains my favorite paradise. Fortunately, there still remains part of the beauty that separates JI from St Simon's & other beach resorts. That is why I keep coming back. I miss the old village & use the new one when absolutely necessary. Thank God the island has not all been tainted by progressive mercenaries. I will continue to partake of JI beauty as long as I am able.

The beach is just around the corner, an easy 2 minute walk. The apartment is spacious, we were able to seat all 6 at the kitchen table, and have a separate space for board games. The bedrooms are perfectly sized to sleep all of us, with the littlest in a pack and play. There is a fold out couch that we didn’t use this time. We love staying here, this is our 2nd time in the apartment and I can see many more in the future.

The apartment is just perfect for us to all be together in one place unlike hotel stays. We were able to cook our meals, wash and dry clothes/towels and relax with the beach just being a short walk around the building. We were given $60 credit for beach gear. We chose beach chairs and an umbrella. It made our time at the beach watching our grandkids play a very relaxing experience. We will no doubt come back and stay again in the future.

The only complaint is that the pots and pans are not good. If you are cooking meals bring your own pans.

I was familiar with the building we stayed in, although the outside has been painted. Some of the fixtures showed their age and the furniture was fine, but this felt like old times for me. The apartment was nice and clean. Plenty of linens and kitchen utensils with extra surprises hidden in the closets. I would stay here again.

Wonderful time and a great location. The rental apartment was nice and clean...great for a beach get away, plenty of linens! This apartment building has been around for years. The last time I visited Jekyll was 30 years ago! Some of the fixtures show their age, but for the price it was good.
