Stayed Aug 13, 2025It was clean and somewhat comfortable. I was confused about the only one load of laundry rule. It wasn't listed in the many rules when I read them. I separate my laundry from darks and lights, never washing jeans with delicates. So that was confusing. In the future I will only rent a private home, not a b & b.

Stayed Aug 13, 2024Marion and Marty were great hosts (enjoyed the homemade granola and cranberries!) and the property was perfect for our stay of 4 adults with lots of space. We enjoyed the water view and had an eagle outside one of the bedroom windows almost every day. The location of the property is a good central location making it easy to get anywhere quickly. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing Marion & Marty again.

Stayed Jul 4, 2024Stayed at the property for a week. Marion was easily accessible through text and emails and responded promptly. She gave great information about local events and places to see in Kodiak Property was clean and well kept. Kitchen was stocked with basic breakfast items. Everybody loved Marion's granola. We also loved her puffin pictures and as we thumbed through one of the books realized that she was a professional photographer. The garden was beautiful. There's a huge variety of flowering plants and greens. You can get some tips by subscribing to her Youtube channel. Marion offered salad greens but were not able to take advantage because we were always on the go. We had a good view of the river from inside and an even awesome view from the deck and garden. Marion was very friendly and accommodating. We felt like we were family. We left Kodiak with many fond memories taking with us some of Marion's granola and a filet of smoked salmon which she generously provided. :-)

Stayed Aug 27, 2022Incredible views of the Pacific Ocean ( ocean front party). Rental is not well suited for cooking in the facility and the main great room is rather small. However the views are outstanding!
