Recently renovated, this stylish one-bedroom apartment is perfect for a holiday for two or four guests. The bedroom features a double bed and a spacious bathroom with a shower. The living room, kitchen, and balcony are interconnected in an open-plan layout, creating a functional and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen is fully equipped and shares the dining area with the living space. The sofa converts into a bed, allowing accommodation for up to four guests. The balcony offers a pleasant spot to relax with friends or family.

Guests have access to a shared rooftop pool, ideal for enjoying the sunny weather in Funchal’s Lido tourist area. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, and private parking is included.

AREA
Located on Estrada Monumental/Rua da Casa Branca, next to the Monumental Lido Shopping Centre, the apartment is a 3-minute walk from the cycle path and a 5-minute walk from the Lido Bathing Complex and Promenade. The area is close to paddle tennis courts, gardens, restaurants, bars, shops, and services. Funchal city centre is a 7-minute drive or a 30-minute walk away, offering a variety of tourist attractions and activities.

GETTING AROUND
Transfers can be arranged with local partners, often cheaper than airport taxis. The property is easily found using any navigation app if you rent a car.

Guests have access to all areas of the property.

The team is always available to assist or answer questions. An app is provided with important property and local information.

OTHER NOTES
- All guests must present valid ID (passport or identity card) as required by Portuguese law.

TOURIST TAX

    The apartment was in a very good position. Very handy to some very good restaurants. Very modern apartment with small balcony which had a front wall .When sitting down vision was restricted. Bad points- Awful smell which I had read about by another guest but ignored.This smell is of mould/drains in the kitchen seemingly in the walls behind the leaking sink and outer walls in the corridor. Apartment very noisy with traffic. Not enough good quality towels and kitchen towels. Lounge curtains filthy.Need washing. Very hot during the night but cannot open windows due to noise. Enjoyed holiday but not the apartment.

    This apartment looks OK in the photo’s but they do not tell the whole truth. I’ll start with the good points; the bed is comfortable, the kitchen appliances are of good standard; the apartment is centrally located for public transport; restaurants etc. Now here is the rest- The smell in the apartment is absolutely VILE. The agents know there is a problem because there are 8 air fresheners in the small living area to try and mask it. Shame the batteries had stopped working, or the perfumed liquid had run out. There appears to be major issues with the sewage system just outside the apartment building as the local water/sewer company had the manholes up twice in the time we stayed. As for the smell. I suspect that there was a cracked pipe allowing the sewerage smell to permeate the apartment. It meant that windows had to be left open all the time, day and night, or the vile smell made you feel sick. Leaving the (single glazed) windows open is problematical as the apartments sits right above a “Gentlemans Club”. This opens from 10p.m. until 6 a.m. The “clients” of this club exit at all hours of the early morning and are usually very drunk, loud and congregate just below your bedroom window. Given the type of club they have frequented the “clients” were swearing and making lewd comments in a variety of languages. Once the “clients” move on, usually between 2:30-5:00 a.m. the staff exit. They talk and laugh whilst waiting for lifts/taxi’s and some slam car doors or rev up their motorbikes. This is 6 nights a week and it is impossible to sleep until after the club is closed. The pillows were stained and disgusting and you could smell them if you closed the door to the bedroom. I bought new ones. Sheets were unclean and we had to strip the bed, was h and dry before using after the intermediate clean. If you still book this apartment after this review then you need to seek help. It is the WORST accommodation I have ever stayed in.

    Very happy with the property, its set close to great restaurant options and its an easy walk back into Funchal central. The wifi was great and we were able to work using the connection without any issues. Would happily stay here again. The only negative would be that the street can be a bit noisy at times so bring your earplugs if you are sensitive to noise at all

    Clean, new, accessorised apartment. The private parking was very useful. We stayed one week, everityng was perfect. You have also the possibility to use the pool on the rooftop. Near the apartment there are 4 supermarket and lots of bar and restaurant.

    The apartment is like in the pictures and equipped with everything we’ll need. A very clean, nice, new renovated, located close to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. The bed was very comfortable for us. Communication with host was good. The free garage, where we could park our car was very useful for us :-) The only thing, that was quite unpleasant, was the smell of sewage in the kitchen. The smell was especially felt when we returned to the apartment in the evening, because the windows were closed. If it wasn't for the unpleasant smell in the kitchen, everything would be wonderful.

    The apartment is close to many excellent restaurants, the seafront, and the local bus service. It is however located at a busy intersection so noise can be an issue. The unit is bright, modern, spacious and well equipped for short or longer term stays. During our stay there was however an odour that came from the building’s plumbing system and infiltrated the apartment in the area of the kitchen sink. If this can be fixed and noise is not a big deal then this apartment ticks all the boxes for an enjoyable and comfortable stay in Funchal. AIA are a good company to deal with and they were quick to respond to any questions we had.

    We stayed here for a week while working remotely, the place is in a great location close to lots of bars and restaurants and the beach. The apartment is well set up and we had everything we needed for the week and the internet was strong! It’s nice having the parking space as well. The apartment comes with basic necessities such as oil and vinegar, coffee and shampoo which we loved! We had some issue with the appliances in the apartment as I don’t think the electrical capacity in the apartment was high enough, every time we tried to use the oven the power went out, it sounds like this is going to be fixed shortly. During one of these power cuts we also had white clothing in the washing machine and everything came out with black spots on them.
