Apartment on Via San Rufino

The location itself is superb right in the center of the town but apartment is not comfortable and not clean , dusty old things maybe have their charm but not functional and take space. The bedroom on second floor but the only tiny bathroom on first. Bathroom doesn’t have space to put anything down. The living room is very small and when sofa bed is in use there is no space to walk around. The kitchen is big but who cooks in Italy? Very expensive even in off season and not worth the money.Parking next to bus station €15/day with owners discount.

This is a great little place in the heart of Assisi. We’d definitely come back to it. Simone is very helpful and attentive to his guests

Simone is an exceptional host who shares his wonderful home generously with guests. The location is incredible! Minutes from the bus stop and centrally located to all the beautiful churches in Assisi. Enjoyed an excellent meal at Nonno Ninni. Assisi is magical! Couldn’t imagine a finer property to enjoy while staying in this amazing town!

Great location close to the Central Piazza. Great restaurants nearby. Great host with great communication and very nice accommodations.

We absolutely loved our stay in San Rufino! Our host Simone was most gracious and so responsive and helpful. We loved the absolute charm of the place and enjoyed the exquisite view of St. Clare's Basilica and the view of the countryside out of our bedroom window! Many photos taken! We would definitely return to this rental if we find ourselves in Assisi again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay in Assisi. The apartment was well put together with a flare of Italian style. The location was close to the piazza and lots of restaurants and cafes. Simone was helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend if you are planning to visit Assisi.

We spent a very good three nights here. We drove, so Simone’s recommendation of the Saba Matteotti parking was helpful. It’s a 5 min walk downhill (uphill on the way back) to the apartment. He provides an Assisi local tourist card that gives you a couple of euros off the daily rate, so €12 a day. We parked in the open air because we missed the ramp down to the covered areas. There are lifts from those to the centre. (We also turned 50m too early into the bus station and incurred the wrath of the local police). We appreciated the central location - a short step to the sights and many restaurants. There’s a washing machine slightly hidden in a cupboard which we used. It was clean and with a welcome surprise gift. We didn’t do any cooking but the kitchen area looked reasonably well equipped. Most of the local restaurants and small shops are closed early afternoon so bear that in mind depending on when you arrive. We stayed in March so were in the fortunate position of not needing to book any restaurants and just walking in, but would recommend doing so in peak season. The downstairs TV has an Amazon fire stick so you have Netflix, Prime etc. There’s aircon downstairs and upstairs for summer and central heating for chillier times. Simone responds quickly to contact and connected by WhatsApp a few days beforehand. Our personal view is that 2-3 days are enough as everything is close by.

Apartment was in a very convenient location. Host communicated efficiently and we appreciated his assistance with parking and orientation to the city. Apartment had the basic supplies, which came in handy. The kitchen is a little tight for 4 people to cook in, so we only prepared breakfasts in the apartment. Loved the slippers - Thanks Simone!

The apartment is great and Simone is very communicative and helpful. My wife and I were just unhappy with the cleanliness of the home. It was dusty and unkept. Aside from that, it’s in a great location right in historic Assisi which is beautiful with restaurants and places to sit down to have wine left and right.
