We stayed three nights at Max's apartment, which has an excellent, excellent wifi connection and is located across the hall from that of his parents Gino and Lina. We spoke French with Lina, whose terrace communicates with her son's, who boasts breathtaking panoramic views of Vesuvius and the bay. The old elevator building is two blocks from the stop of the funicular, which brings one in minutes to San Carlo and the waterfront. There is also a nearby street for marketing. The shower was maybe a little too small for big guys like ourselves, but we were made to feel like family and enjoyed our stay!
The apartment has everything that is required and the view from the large roof terrace is fantastic. The owners are very nice people and did everything that they could to help us. We had a brilliant time in a brilliant city.
Very nice apartment, beautiful terrace with view over the bay and Vesuvius, shady and pleasant in the late afternoon even in the heat of summer. Good location, fun walk down to via Toledo or via Chiaia, or 100 m. to funicular (Funiculare Centrale) down to Via Toledo or up to Vomero and subway line 1. Good Carrefour Market very close by, and fine bakery and salumeria too. The hosts, Rino and Lina and their son Massimiliano, are wonderful, warm, and generous people, friendly and ready to help, and enjoyable to talk to.
The view is amazing, the terrace overlooks Naples and the harbour and faces the Vesuvio. The apartment is very clear and very quiet even though the building is in a very busy neighborhood (which I highly recommend - Quartieri Spagnoli). Lina and Rino, the owners of the apartment, and their son Massimiliano were extremely helpful and kind during our stay. True people. I am definitely going back in Naples, and in this apartment.
