I really enjoyed my stay here, clean house in a great condition, beautiful neighborhood, nice porch with gorgeous views, Full stocked kitchen, nice living room, the owner and the managers were really kind, it was a pleasure dealing with them

A family of 9 shared the lower apartment of this house (bottom 2 floors with a spacious deck). The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of seating for the family. We had enough common space for rainy days as well. The apartment was very clean and the rooms large enough. The deck is fabulous with beautiful view of the mountains on one side and the village the other. The village, restaurants and shops are all a short walk away. The bike trail is literally 30 seconds from the house and Billa grocery is 2 min walk. Would absolutely recommend!

I have just returned from my third visit to Kaprun using Haus Almkreek as our base from which to enjoy the ski slopes of the nearby Kitzsteinhorn mountain. The quality of all the facilities in the chalet/villa is outstanding with absolutely everything provided for a group of residents, ranging from ample crockery and cooking facilities to a washing machine, sauna and good wifi. The furnishing of the lounge and bedrooms is top-class. The property is maintained to a spotlessly high standard and it's location is ideal, with a supermarket 2 minutes away, the bus stop for the free bus to the slopes just 4 minutes away and only 10 minutes walk from Kaprun centre for shopping and/or apres ski activities. We enjoyed our visit so much, that on our return journey to England we were already discussing our plans to use Haus Almkreek next year. The owners, Els and Jerry Smith were very helpful in all the organisation and planning of our visit and were very prompt in responding to any questions or issues that I raised. I have no hesitation in recommending Haus Almkreek as a base for a holiday in the Kaprun and Zell am Zee area.

We have just returned from our third time of using Haus Almkreek as our base for our group of skiers, keen to ski the slopes of the Kitzsteinhorn mountain in early December. Haus Almkreek continues to be a beautifully maintained property of real quality in the town of Kaprun. It is ideally situated for the free bus either into Kaprun or up to the gondola lifts that provide access to the ski slopes (3 minute walk to the bus stop). A walk into the town is only ten minutes as well. Also, shopping for provisions is no problem at all because the Billa supermarket is only a 1 minute walk away. The furnishing and provision of equipment is top class and so very well organised. Arrangements for our arrival (for us it was the middle of the night) were managed very efficiently with regard to travel directions, access to keys and contact with a local landlady should it be necessary. The property owners Els and Jerry Smith provided an excellent service in dealing with the financial and logistical arrangements of our visit and were always ready to answer any queries that we had particularly in relation to access ski hire equipment on the mountain for some of our group. On our journey back to England, we were already planning our trip for next year and using Haus Almkreek as our base of course. A wonderful few days skiing in Kaprun using the outstanding accommodation that is Haus Almkreek. We will be back!! Eric D

If you want a perfect Holiday in Kaprun - then book this appartment with everything!

Haus Almkreek is a beautifully maintained property of real quality in the town of Kaprun. It was perfect for our group of 16 skiers keen to ski the slopes of Kitzsteinhorn mountain in early December. It is ideally situated for the free bus either into Kaprun or up to the gondola lifts that provide access to the ski slopes (3 minute walk to the bus stop). Also, shopping for provisions is no problem at all because the Billa supermarket is only a 1 minute walk away. Haus Almkreek is set on 3 levels and could provide for two separate smaller groups totalling up to 21, but for our large group of 16 it was perfect in size and facilities. The furnishing and provision of equipment is top class and so very well organised. Arrangements for our arrival (for us it was the middle of the night) were managed very efficiently with regard to travel directions, access to keys and contact with a local landlady should it be necessary. The property owners Els and Jerry Smith provided an excellent service in dealing with the financial and logistical arrangements of our visit and were always ready to answer any queries that we had particularly in relation to access ski hire equipment on the mountain for some of our group. We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay in Haus Almkreek, would definitely return again next year and would have no hesitation in recommending it to other families or groups whether they are skiing in the winter or enjoying the mountain air in the summer.

Your house is fantastic, everything was perfect for us and I would recommend to everyone to stay there. The bedrooms are very good, the beds are very comfortable after skiing everyday. Some of us used the sauna and were very happy with it. We organized in the way, that the kids used the top floor, so we only used the kitchen on the main floor. We could eat together in the evening with 15 around the kitchen table, and 4 on the bar stools. So the kitchen was very nice, oven a bit small, but we worked around that, by using the oven on the top floor and the BBQ outside. We use the spacious and comfortable living room in the evening. The ski room with the ski boot heater was a hit, and the location was perfect, both for shopping in Billa and going to the ski bus. Renting a car was not needed for those two weeks, which is a huge plus for a group of 19. So, in all, everything was perfect for our perfect holiday in your fantastic house, it's a 10 out of 10 for us. - Thordur Gislason
