Animas River House - Cozy Historic Riverfront Home 4 Blocks To Downtown!

Very nice, clean, and fully furnished upstairs of a house. House backs up to the river and Kendall Mountain. Backyard is fenced for pets. Owner was very responsive to questions about gas heater which was off when we arrived on a Sunday evening. We would definitely recommend this property and plan on returning.

This property was a great place to spend our 25th wedding anniversary! It has so much charm and the river and mountain views are amazing!!We hope to return soon!

Pet friendly. Beautiful location right on the river. Saw the Milky Way at night from the deck. Walkable to the main street in town.

The house was in a beautiful location and easy to walk to down town. Just as described. The hosts were also super responsive. The place was a little dirty (ex there was a hair in the bed before we got into bed) and there was a shelf falling off the wall when we got there. But this is all general wear and tear things that I expect of a VRBO so it wasn’t an issue. Would still recommend :)

Great stay. Close to the river and town. Loved the deck. The BBQ grill was a wonderful surprise. Just a FYI, there are 16 stairs to the unit, which is located on the 2nd floor. Not a problem for us. Wonderful stay, wonderful hosts!

A wonderful, quiet retreat. The home was clean and comfortable, and the location offered stunning, unobstructed river and mountain views.

A beautiful house in a peaceful location with the Animas River and the mountains right out the back! A cozy ambience with lots of windows for natural lighting. The skylights in the bathroom with the views of the mountains are amazing! The kitchen is well-stocked and the bed was comfy.

Property is great and easy to get to, we were able to dry our gear and keep it all ready to go for days on the mountain. Would 100% look to stay again if in the area.

Great place to stay for a mountain experience. We got lucky and got 30” of snow while we were there. Definitely an isolated area so be sure to pack well. T-mobile service worked great.

Beautiful location!! Had everything I needed.

We had a wonderful time and the place was perfect for us. We got there and it was snowing so we cooked all of our meals for the week! We fly fished, went jeeping and enjoyed the gorgeous San Juans! Ended up having to cut our trip short due to a death in the family, but it was still a great place and we will be back to stay there again!

House was great. Clean and a great location to everything. I would like to recommend a bigger back porch. Was a bit difficult to maneuver around. And- we’re not big people.

Great little place to stay. Host was very quick to answer any questions. We came out to see the fall colors and ride some trails.

Ideal location for enjoying the San Juan’s. Historic home, modern interior, phenomenal shower, and so nice to be right on the river. And whoever came up with putting sky lights in the bathroom is genius…washing your face in the morning and looking at those mountain peaks gets you that much more stoked to start your day. A property I will want to return to.
