Alghero Old Town – Rare Luxury Duplex for 6 Steps from the Sea

The host is very nice - she recommends you the best places to visit and great places to eat. Location of the apartment is great, close to everything.

This is an excellent apartment in the historical center of Alghero. The location cannot be beat- a wine shop and amazing restaurants are literally a stones throw away. We enjoyed exploring Alghero and beaches to the north and south. The apartment is well appointed and spacious for traveling couples and a crib was available if needed. The only caution we could provide to prospective travelers would to be aware of the notes in the listing on parking- we found the public parking lot to be very convenient with plentiful, safe parking available a short walk away, however the nature of the historical streets in the “Old Town” area would favor those traveling with easy to manage bags, but this is true of any apartment in this historical area due to driving restrictions- and was honestly not an issue for us. Communication with the host is clear and consistent. We’d definitely consider this apartment for future visits.

We hat a really great time in this cisy appartement, which is located directly in the old town Center. All essential locations (Shops, Restaurants, supermarket, tourist info, Bus Station, etc.) can be reached by a 3 -minute-walk. Communication with oder was perfect: prompt & helpful every time, if needed. It was a pleasure!

Unfortunately I had to cancel my booking before arrival, so I can only speak to Tiziana as a host. She is wonderful, answered all my questions quickly, and provided me with so much useful information on Alghero and the area, including numerous photos. I can't wait to finally be able to stay, which I will one day! Grazie Tiziana.

My wife and I stayed here for one week. Amethyst was just as we expected and was pictured. The communication between Tiziana prior to our arrival was fantastic, with information regarding beaches, restaurants and sights to see. I had a good feeling about this place right from the first time we connected with Tiziana. When we arrived our taxi dropped us off a few meters from the entrance to the apartment, even though the apartment actually is in a no traffic area, he was able to get us close. Irene met us at the apartment and showed us around, explaing everything we need to know. We did not have any issues with the apartment, everything worked great, it was very clean and neat. The apartment was walking distance to anything you might want. We did rent a car for a few days to drive around the island, the views were magnificent, parking was easy down by the marina a short walk away. There were so many great little restaurants near by, we never had a bad meal. During our stay Irene stayed in contact with us to make sure our stay was going well. I would definitely recommend this apartment. Tiziana followed up with me after our stay to make sure we were happy.

What a charming and comfortable apartment in the historical center of Alghero! We loved the sights, and aromas coming from the street below and the apartment had most everything we needed. The only challenge being the lack of wi-fi. The furnishings are lovely and decorated with a thoughtful eye. We would definitely stay here again!

The apartment is fantastic, it has been definitely among our TOP3 apartments we ever had during all our vacations throughout the world. It's situated perfectly in the old town of Alghero and everything is in reach by walking distance, great restaurants, trattorias, bars, cafés. Although it is in the middle of bustling old town it is still quiet enough to rest and have a good and silent sleep. The apartment is furnished both antique and modern with a great eye for detail and everything fits together very lovely. Although not too large it offers two bathrooms including showers and a fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed a super nice 3 days stay there!

Sweet home Amethyst is a place we'd love to return to. Great living in the heart of Alghero- what a thrill to lean out the window to hang out the washing! Loved having two bathrooms & this apartment has a wonderful friendly ambience. Alghero was a good base for exploring South to Bosa & the nearby National Parks- our host had supplied lots of great information. Thanks for our memorable stay & being so hospitable. Great location in the centre of old Alghero in easy walking distance to the waterfront bars and restaurants. Only a few negative points - no wifi (would expect this in most places), and an extra charge for cleaning linens (Would expect this to be included in the rental cost. Was noted in the description for the apartment but not very clear that is charge rather than refunded deposit). Other than that its a great apartment with all you need for a stay.
