Stayed Dec 31, 1969Claudia and Manfred were very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful garden with furniture to sit and eat, however 2 flights downstairs! But manageable and worth the effort. In the cooler climate, the apartment would be very cosy. The building is 200 years old and has been beautifully refurbished. Location ideal for visits to major locations of the Black Forest, such as Baden Baden and Sasbachwalden. Ideal for the walking and biking where there are tarmac tracks with beautiful scenery as well as in the Forest. Also there is a ticket that enables all of your party to ride on the trams/buses/trains, either free or at a reduced cost. Also allows a visit to a local lido (which was superb and very necessary due to the hot temperatures) is included for discount. One piece of advice for English visitors who do not speak German, bring a dictionary! We wrongly thought more people spoke English, so we had a bit of trouble particularly in restaurants. All part of the fun though! Well worth the trip.
