Arrive at the first floor entrance and step into the colorful and eclectic newly renovated kitchen. Choose from 3 types of coffee makers including: traditional drip, keurig, or espresso. Head into the living room and you'll find a dining area, HD Smart TV and plenty of board games for those rainy days inside. Note that the living room has a futon that folds down to a twin size bed ideal for a kid or small adult.
There are 2 bedrooms off the living room. One is the larger primary bedroom with a comfortable queen memory foam mattress. The other is a small bedroom big enough for a full size bed and closet. This bedroom is adjoined by the bathroom.
The final room in the cozy apt is an office between by the bathroom and kitchen. This is a great space to get things done or store additional luggage from the smaller bedroom!
As with many homes in this historic area this apt dates pre-1900 so it will have some "old house character". We have worked to preserve that character while making updates for comfort that we hope our guests will appreciate!
We liked the location, convenient to both Gloucester and Rockport beaches. The furniture was comfortable, getting in and out was easy.
House was just as pictured. Enjoyed our stay, plenty of privacy and great contact with host.
Well stocked, very clean.
We were very greatful that this property was available in such a short notice! It was perfect for our travel needs.
Great communication owner and very sweet quaint home. Thank you!
Checking in was easy and the apartment was very clean and cozy. Off street parking was great, too. Want to go back around Thanksgiving:-)
The listing talked of coffee makers, espresso makers and a Keurig. There was no sweeter, no sugar and no creamer. That is the first thing I look for and the listing said fully stocked which means the basic cookware and set ups for coffee. The listing was for a first floor apartment and we were told it was handicap accessible and it was not. 4 deep stairs to get into the 1st floor apartment. There also were flecks of dirt in my bed and something on the sheet. I slept on top of the covers. This is my very first negative review
We enjoyed this cute apartment for a weekend and were able to access the beautiful nearby beach. When booking know that this is on the east end of Gloucester, not right downtown so most things are .8 miles away. Bring bikes or plan to drive to many of your activities.
Our family of 4 had a pleasant stay at Rachel’s property while in the area for a family wedding. The accommodation is warm and cosy and suited our 2 yo who was in a cot that was kindly provided as well as myself and my husband and 4 yo. Rachel also provided a high chair and stroller which was incredibly helpful.
Older building but plenty of beds and within walking distance of downtown and the beach. I imagine it could get warm if the temperature is high with only window AC that is in the living room, but we had 70 degree weather so no problem. We had kids with us so a dust pan to go with the broom and some plastic cups and plates would have been a nice addition. It was noisy at night because of the big road outside but we didn't mind because we're from a noisy city ourselves.
Clean, spacious and cozy. Central location. Property managers very easy to contact and communicate with. Enjoyed our stay !
