The apartment was fine, as advertised. The location is amazing. Near Metro, grocery store, the wharf, etc. The bed was very firm (great for me, not so great for hubby). The living room furniture was terribly uncomfortable. Shower was nice. Kitchen was acceptable. Laundry looked fine, didn't use it. Now for the down sides... the lobby and elevators have such a strong smell of cleaners that our eyes actually burned/watered. Luckily the hallway on our floor and apartment didn't have that problem. But the really down side was communication with the property managers. The morning of our flight we were notified that we didn't have parking, even though we'd reserved it months before. It was always stated as being per availability, but the very last minute notice gave me no time to prepare other options. For me, doing that on a computer is WAY easier than on my phone, but I no longer had that option and I had to do it on the fly. Very stressful. They tell you that street parking is ample. That's a lie. And the street parking is subject to rules that are very different from where we live, so figuring them out was a chore. Not the way I want to spend my vacay time. Checkin had me in tears. I called the number they gave me, but it was to the lobby, and the person there had no information. Then came the texts from different people telling me to go different units on different floors. They tell you about the security card. There isn't one. After searching for parking, this was stressful.
The apartment was very nice. We had reserved parking in the garage below the building. We were within walking distance of almost all DC attracions. The staff was very helpful and the residents were all friendly. The rooftop clubhouse was very nice as well as the rooftop pool. There was a gated back area to take our dog out and the surrounding neighborhood provided us a good area to walk our dog as well. It was a very enjoyable stay.
The parking and condo were convenient. The condo could use some softening up like pictures on the wall, throws pillows and blankets. It was very stale and cold. Both couches were very uncomfortable. The area and building were very safe and secure.
Had a very pleasant stay at this 1 BR apartment in SW DC. Kitchen was reasonably well equipped, unit was clean and well maintained. Good proximity to local attractions, was able to walk to many spots, or use Uber/Lyft for if desired. Propery manager was responsive to questions/concerns as needed. Overall a pretty enjoyable stay.
The property was clean and in a great location. Within walking distance to grocery, coffee, restaurants and bars (and more coming soon). The check-in process, while detailed, if you follow the directions sent prior to arrival, it was seamless. However, great support is available if you find it cumbersome. The management had good communication prior to checking in. I was not in need to communicate with them during my stay. The kitchen had basic amenities but enought for you to make a basic meal or warm up some food. Bed was a bit firm for my liking andmy only feedback would be to upgrade the television to something that can be mirrored to a mobile device or a smart TV that has more streaming options; Netflix is the only thing available. Bring a computer with HDMI or tablet as a solution. Recommend staying here!
Comfy bed, good towels, nice building, everything was easy, great communication
The apartment was exactly what we needed for a long weekend stay. It is conveniently located near a grocery store and Metro line (only 1 stop to Washington Nationals ballpark). The complex has several amenities including roof top lounge and pool. While the bedroom is small, the walk-through closet has plenty of space and bed is comfortable. Will need to use the airmatress if sleeping on futon/sofa. Only downside is TV requires streaming account but Netflix is free. Would definitely stay here again.
The check-in was super easy. Apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Only thing is there was a lot of pet hair that was not from our dogs. But we vacuumed consistently. The air filter could use a change/cleaning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
This was a great unit in a great location. It was a very short walk to the Waterfront metro station. The apartment building is a new building. Huge windows with lots of sunlight and a nice view. The unit was very clean. There is a fenced in courtyard the apartment shares with the church next door. I saw kids during school hours, and dogs at other times. There is a beautiful spacious workout room. I didn’t get a chance to check out the roof area or pool. We went to the farmers market next to Safeway on Saturday and had a delicious breakfast burrito. We walked to the Wharf for dinner a few times. Hank’s was my favorite. We walked to the National Mall a few times and visited the Smithsonian. The kitchen in our unit had an island and four stools. That was great for breakfast, and we were at restaurants for most of our other meals anyway. The kitchen had everything basic we needed, but not much else. But it worked for us. Overall, this was a great stay, and I highly recommend it. There were a few small negatives, but nothing too bad. It’s a city apartment building with a garage underneath. So for check in, I parked illegally on a side street for a few minutes, ran up to the unit to get the fob, and then moved the car to the garage. No problem. The futon in the living room, and the second couch were not comfortable to sleep on. We ended up using the air mattress they provided. That was fine. The bedroom was on the small side. Just enough room for a king sized bed and walking space around it. But the closet was really huge, so it all worked out. The Safeway is very close, but their produce selection was limited. There were other options that looked promising, but they were further away so we didn’t try them. There were limited restaurants very close. But the walk to the Wharf was very pleasant. And we walked to the Navy Yards in the other direction once. Both of those locations have lots of great restaurants to choose from. I communicated with the company which runs a bunch of units in the same apartment buildings to resolve some very minor issues. Each time, they were prompt and a pleasure to work with. Overall, it’s a great place.
The condo building was new, clean, and had lots of amenities. We had plenty of space and made the huge closet our child's sleep space. There was a plug-in to inflate mattress that was very comfy. The main bed was huge and firm. The couches aren't very comfy, but do open to make another sleep space option. The laundry closet was big and served as our closet. Lots of space to put personal items and hang clothing. We had no issues during our stay, but the contact person was easy to message. We lucked out and got into the building initially for our stay because someone held it open for us. We reserved parking for our entire stay and it was easy. Close to the waterfront, but sketchy apartments with bars on windows across the street. We felt safe walking when it was light out. We stayed on the 10th floor and enjoyed fireworks at the nearby baseball stadium and the soonest lightning storm! Place was clean and stocked well, except we ran out of toilet paper. CVS is close by to purchase more. A/C works great! We would stay again.
