17th CENTURY MANSION in MARAIS CENTER near SEINE RIVER.

We had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed the flat. The host is very warm and welcoming and does a great job of communicating. Check-in and departure is very easy. The flat is large and was great for our family of four. The location is perfect! I would note that the loft was not great -- the stairs are a little precarious and the ceiling is very low. Our daughters are 24, and did not want to use it, so they, instead, used the pull-out sofa bed in the living room. Also, VRBO has erroneously listed two bathrooms, but actually it is a toilet in one room, then the counter, sink, and tub/shower are in a separate room. The oven was not working when we were there (stovetop did work). However, there was a toaster oven, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and plenty of lovely dishes. We were only making breakfasts there, so it was great. We were there in December for 11 nights and it was warm and cozy with good heating systems in the living space and the separate bedroom. I would not hesitate to stay here again or refer a friend.

We LOVED our stay in this apartment. It was such a pleasure to work with Jacques. He was accommodating and kind throughout our stay. You cannot beat this location. Incredible neighborhood that is convenient to metro, restaurants, shops and walking along the Seine. The apartment itself has incredible character and was charming and comfortable. The kitchen is a bit minimalistic but it met our limited needs. It should be noted that it’s a one bedroom with open loft, which worked perfectly for our family. I highly recommend this rental. Have no hesitation about booking! We will definitely be back.

We left this morning after a 7 night stay and I am missing the feeling of coming home to this sweet apartment with its rosy red warmth and cosy charm. The windows frame the perfect French street, full of charming vintage shops. Location was brilliant, so close to the Seine as well as shopping in the Marais. We walked along the Seine each day. We love walking, so it was an adventure to walk everywhere! If you don’t love walking as much as us, you can easily catch a train as there are several stations within a few minutes walk accessing different lines. The supermarket is also close, there are amazing choices for delicious food. This place is character-filled and fun! Jacques, is a wonderful, kind, informative and generous host. His communication is brilliant. Loved, loved, loved this place.

For some reason the VRBO site indicates there are 2 bathrooms with showers and 2 separate toilets, but in fact there is only one toilet and one separate bathroom. That would be the only issue with this place, and not even an issue because our gracious host, Jacques, was very upfront about the accommodations. In fact, they were quite perfect and sufficient for our family of four. tThe location was fabulous. Jacques was attentive and very pleasant to work with. Would definitely stay there again.

In brief - this location was perfect, made more so by the warmth and kindness of Monsieur Jacques, who stayed up for our late check in. The apartment is beautiful, clean and with all advertised amenties. The location is very central - middle of Le Marais, within walking distance of great food and shopping, the Louvre, the Notre Dame, Opera etc. We loved it and will come again, hopefully.
