It was a pleasant stay. Enjoyed the tree lined streets and the park across the way. The bed was comfortable and the place was cozy. The owner was very considerate in contacting us in case we needed any thing.

The house was nice and clean but I did get bit by some kind of bug and had to go to the doctor for the bites. I don’t believe it was bedbugs as I had killed a few spiders and checked the mattress and it was clean, so just be wary of that. The driveway is really only big enough for a car, nothing larger, and the concrete is broken all over. The entry door is heavy and closes on its on it own so it is difficult to get bags in the door because it was closing on me the entire time. I would definitely book again.

Yes. Only had to go right down the road to get a few items and the kitchen had everything we needed to prep our food

Beautiful neighborhood and home. Very well maintained, easy instructions for entry and exit. Maybe be clear that the driveway is shared with the next door neighbor - we ended up blocking her by accident (it was dark and we didn't initially see the guest parking spot upon check in). Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We couldn’t have asked for a better home base to explore Kansas City. We loved the tree-lined neighborhood and huge green space/park for morning walks. We were minutes away from great food and great art and awesome vintage stores (and any other kind of shopping you’d want to do.) The updated first floor unit was clean and comfy and equipped with plenty of towels, kitchenware and bedding. Loved it.

The apartment was a great place to stay! We had both our dogs and were able to walk them each day in the park. We stayed 3 nights and loved the apatment lay out and cleanliness. Everything we wanted to do was within 8 miles of us. Great place!

Overall the spot was nice and sufficient for our trip to KC. As others have mentioned the place is definitely a bit old and you can hear that in the creaky floors. There is parking available on the driveway but it is only suitable for a smaller car. However, there is plenty of street parking which makes this not much of a factor. The condo is right next to a park which was nice for morning walks and it is a short drive from some of the sites to visit in KC.

The neighborhood is lovely. As others have mentioned, proximity to the Nelson Atkins art museum, Plaza shopping area, and great parks for walking are a huge draw. We had our dog with us and encountered lots of friendly neighbors while on our walks. The house itself is very old, and it shows. I wouldn’t call it “beautifully renovated” as the listing does… Some parts of the wood floor were so soft that I felt like the floors must be rotting underneath. Not much privacy - there’s no door to the bedroom, and the bathroom door is misaligned so it doesn’t close all the way and “locks” with a rickety latch. The neighbors above our unit weren’t being loud at all, the floors are so creaky that every time they walked around it was very noisy (not great for light sleepers). No complaints about the amenities. Kitchen appliances all work, and it was nice to have adjustable AC throughout the house on a hot midwestern day.

This is as a great place to stay while in Kansas City. It is located in a quiet and safe feeling historic neighborhood. There is a beautiful park with walking trails one block away. Down that path is a great park with splash pad and playground. Up the hill is the beautiful Art Museum and nearby that is the Country Club Plaza district. The vacation rental accommodations were great with almost everything we needed. I would have liked more blankets in the unit. It was an old house with creeky wood floors but modern conveniences such as air conditioning. There are also ceiling fans in each room. The kitchen was fully equipped and modern. The queen bed was very comfortable. We brought air mattresses for our kids so I am unsure about the couch beds. Every evening we enjoyed the front porch swing and watched Fireflies in the yard. So fun! The neighbors were all very friendly as well and we enjoyed visiting with them. Kansas City itself impressed us with its friendly people, safe feel, and clean downtown. The restaurants we ate at were amazing. We went to Union Station and the World War I Memorial and Museum which were both impressive. Overall I would recommend this vacation rental and KC. We will be back!
