My sister and I had this beautiful mansion all to ourselves! The spa was exceptional, providing everything we could possibly need to pamper ourselves. The spa services and staff were fantastic! And we really loved the raspberry tea and lemonade ice cubes :)
Staying in this historical estate, completed in about 1917, was an experience of a lifetime. Not only do you have your bedroom suite, which was lovely, but access to the common areas of the home. Although other guests were in some of the other 5 bedroom suites, we felt as though we had the home to ourselves, enjoying an evening in the library and morning time in the living room. Truly a special experience in a grand home, on a beautiful property.
I have been to the property several times. There was a miscue when I arrived late after a cross country flight the key that I was given was for the wrong room. I stayed at a hotel that night. As unfortunate as that sounds, Steven Price took care of everything immediately in ways that exceeded my expectations. They say that you drive more customer loyalty when you recover well then getting it right first time.
Views were amazing, glad we stayed here for that. We did miss the hotel like checkin/bed breakfast feel as we were in a large 5-6 bdrm empty house- would have been better suited for a group to rent out multiple rooms/suites together. Not sure when the front desk used to be manned, or breakfast offered, assuming this is only for functions now. Location five mins from Blowing Rock town and 20 from Boone, made this great for our first visit to the area. We didn’t book the spa, but have heard good things and it was busy while we were there.
The Mansion is stunning. Beautiful and comfortable. The proximity to the spa is a plus.
