This home has some really nice finishes and upgrades to make a stay on Colorado Springs comfortable. It was the perfect space for my family of 4, and the location is convenient for a variety of activities. The property manager was responsive to our one request, and he went above and beyond our expectation. Long story short: we would stay here again.
This is a beautiful renovated home and will be even better once it is fully done. It just needs the last final touches Like blinds in the living room and some nice patio funuture so you can enjoy lazy nights outside with the fire going.
Charming old farmhouse with great kitchen and bath updates, we loved the location, it is close to everything we wanted to do in Colorado Springs
This house was close to so many things. Such, as, Pikes Peak, Garden of the gods, excellent hiking and horseback riding. Also, there is a fantastic zoo nearby. We had a great time. I do wish there was a washer/dryer in the house though.
Beautiful property. This home did not disappoint at every turn the attention to detail was clear. The home derails was just as described.
Great house! Very well updated and clean!! Close to many Manitou attractions and Old Colorado City. We loved it!! TWO things I would change. Coming in July it’s very warm. There is a small portable AC unit in the kitchen. Cools living room and kitchen down great but NOT back bedrooms. The back bedrooms do get warm and stuffy in the evening and night. We opened windows and put on portable fans. Each room has a fan. A little AC unit in the back of house or window unit should be nothing and would truly make the house 5 star IMO. Also, the house does not have a washer and dryer. If you have little kids…. You know you’ll need these. Thank you for the stay!!
We enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. It was spacious for our family of five. A great location for Garden of the gods and Pikes Peak. The interior is very nicely done and we appreciated having some outdoor space as well. The only drawback was the lack of central AC. The bedrooms were a bit stuffy at night even with the fans that were provided by the owner. All in all, we had a great couple of days!
We loved our stay! The house was perfect for our family and we loved the walk in shower! The house was the perfect location for all our adventures. We had the best week. Thanks!
Winderful
We spent 2 nights here in June and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! While the surroundings of the home are not scenic at all, you will see and experience beautiful sights very nearby. Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods are within 10 minutes. Old Colorado Springs is a 5 minute drive. We hiked a magnificent trail called St. Mary’s Falls in North Cheyenne Park. I HIGHLY recommend hiking that area! The home itself has been nicely remodeled with a nice kitchen and bathrooms. There is no central AC, but there is a portable AC and you can open the windows at night. Each room has a stand up fan. If you have a group of more than 4 people, you may want to pack a couple of folding chairs to add to the 4 chairs at the dining room table. The kitchen has a 5 cup coffee maker. If you are a big coffee drinker or have several coffee drinkers in the group, you may want to bring an extra coffee pot with you. The dishwasher was out of service when we were there, but we didn’t mind washing our own dishes. We were a bit confused about where to park when we first got there. There is a driveway to the left of the house that we were told was parking for this house. I wouldn’t have guessed because it seems like it would have been for the house next door. The owner was quick to come over and check on us once we arrived, and he was quick to respond when we needed his help. The property of the house is called “The Compound”. There is an old run down looking truck in the front yard of the house that looks like it played “Mater” in Cars. That is the view from your living room. That shocked us when we first got there and made us nervous about the neighborhood. But it really turned out to be nice due to it being in a great location. We used the firepit on the back patio and enjoyed the cool night air in June. All in all, this is a nice place that is conveniently located. Great place to serve as “base camp” if you plan to go out and explore the surroundings. If you are looking for a home with a mountain feel, this is not your home. But if you’re looking for a nice place to stay while you go out to see and do the mountains, then this is a perfect place for you!
We had an excellent experience. Some suggestions that would make this property even better — washer and dryer (saw hookups were already there), a shelf or two in the other two bedrooms. Would stay here again if in the area. Thanks for all you did to make our stay great — very much appreciated.
Very comfortable house in a great location to CS. Great price for nice property. Difficult to locate specific house from photos online so correspondence with property manager prior to arriving is recommended strongly.
The house was very nice for the 6 of us! Clean bathrooms and comfortable living area. Firepit on the porch was cozy & inviting! The kitchen was clean, but no toaster! The check-in was not good. We didn't receive the code to get into the house, and the owners did not answer the phone to share it. VRBO support tried to help, but they could not contact the owners either. We waited for about an hour and were almost ready to check into a hotel when the owner walked over. He got us into the house, and it was smooth sailing from there.
