Taste wine at Duckhorn (1.5 miles away) or walk to Partridge Cellars (5 minute walk) then relax on our backyard patio and watch the quail roam around the yard while barbecuing or playing lawn games.
The space
Built and 1934 and lovingly restored, this is the perfect home base for your wine tasting vacation. Within a few miles, you'll find world famous wineries like Duckhorn, Viader, Markham, St Clement, and countless others.

Our home offers two good-sized queen bedrooms, recentlyoutfitted with higher end linens (like Pottery Barn) and a king size bedroom upstairs (with twin kids room). Hardwood floors span through the living/dining area, into the bedrooms and kitchen.

With two queen beds and a full bathroom downstairs and a twin and a king size bedroom and half-bath (shower not tub) upstairs you'll fit 7 guests comfortably.

The kitchen has a gas stove top, farmhouse sink, and all of the amenities you'd expect in a higher end kitchen (including an industrial size Kitchen Aid mixer).

The sunny breakfast nook is the perfect place to relax over a cup of coffee in the morning (send someone out for Model Bakery English muffins!) or game of cards at the end of the day.

The whole home is accessible, with the exception of the attic bedroom (beyond a locked door) and the storage basement.

There are handicap accessible ramps to the front door, however the shower is not wheelchair accessible.

There is a washer/dryer located in a laundry room off the kitchen for your convenience.

The proximity to both downtown St Helena and Calistoga is fantastic - - not to mention being 1/2 mile from wineries like Duckhorn, which is a favorite place to taste wine (you have to check out the tastings they do on their back porch!)

The neighborhood is unique in that it feels as if you're in the middle of the countryside, but you're so close to everything. The street is quiet and you won't hear the road noise from Silverado Trail (although we're right off of it) or Highway 29 like other Napa properties experience.

The driveway could park 3-4 cars easily (in tandem). There is no real public transport in the area, but the wine train is fun :)

The property is fully fenced and has a flat, paved driveway which is perfect for small children riding bikes or scooters. We can provide booster seats, high chairs and/or a Pack n Play, upon request. We also have a child-sized Pottery Barn kids table in the open living area that seats 4+.

Other things to note
We have a neighbor, about a mile and a half away, that sells chicken eggs. It is a beautiful walk down a two lane road that we take a few times a month.

This was our first time renting from VRBO and the owners were very responsive to all of our questions and responded very quickly. The listing is very accurate and the house is well maintained and clean. The owners gave us a booklet of where everything was located in the house and included things to do in St. Helena with restaurant and grocery store recommendations which was invaluable. The kitchen was very well stocked. The large backyard with tables and chairs and the fire pit was perfect for relaxing after a full day of winery tours. The location is great and an easy drive to downtown St Helena. The owner checked in with us after our arrival to make sure everything was as expected and answered any questions. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this home and owner.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable and nicely decorated. We also really enjoyed having breakfast in the backyard each day. There lots of kitchen utensils, and the house was very clean. Thank you for a wonderful place to enjoy our visit to the Napa Valley.

I needed to find a place for my husband and 1 year old to relax while I attended a conference at the Culinary Institute of America. It was the perfect location - just minutes away from the CIA, great backyard for our baby, and wonderfully cozy. The house was spotless and had thoughtful touches including candles, fully-stocked kitchen, and charming furnishings. All three of us slept well, as the location was tucked away and quiet. Our only regret was that the rain kept us from enjoying the fire pit - maybe next time!

We stayed here with friends for a long weekend. The home is very clean, and well maintained, and the owners made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for the cook, and the outdoor fire pit is wonderful for a night out under the stars. We had little kids with us, and were able to park the car on the street, and our kids enjoyed riding their bikes and scooters in the gated driveway. The beds are comfortable and rooms are well appointed. We've already booked the place for the 4th of July holiday and can't wait to return.

We chose this charming cottage because is is close to the Culinary Institute of America, where our daughter graduated. The owner was friendly and easy to work with. Check in was simple. It has been decorated with attention to the smallest detail. Wifi and tv is set up well. Very clean and comfortable throughout. The backyard is charming with it's furniture, outdoor firepit, nice propane grill, mature trees and natural setting to attract birds and more. Roomy living space, and well equipped kitchen made it nice to invite friends for the evening bbq. Thank you Neil for the wonderful accommodations! Young children will love the playhouse and toys. We hope to return soon!
