Fallbrook, California
Tucked in the hills of San Diego, our organic subtropical farm is a great centrally located getaway destination. The beautiful 4-room space occupies the first floor of the original two-story, three-unit farmhouse on our family farm and has it's own entrance with no shared spaces. Relax in the hot tub and enjoy the quiet! We have five other farmstay homes here if this one is booked, or you'd like to reserve for a larger party.
Queen bed, walk-in closet, living room and beautiful limestone bathroom waiting for your arrival. Completely private with a full kitchen off the living room. Full size refrigerator. High-end Reverse Osmosis Nimbus five stage water filtration system, coffee, and tea with sugar and real cream provided. Flat screen smart TV, no outside cable. Super fast Wifi here at last! The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a homey cafe type destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. For something a little pricier and definitely on the romantic side: down the road a bit further is Temecula Creek Inn's Cork Fire Kitchen. Most of the year there's Kenny's you-pick strawberry farm right down the road as well. You'll see small signs on Old 395 as you drive in from either direction. Absolutely awesome strawberries, pick them yourself, or buy them already harvested. We send an exhaustive Activity Guide, Winery Listing, Food Map and Restaurant Guide in PDF format to all confirmed reservations, via email. Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet our farm seems like it's miles away from the city. Only a few minutes off the I-15, we're freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceanside's beautiful beaches and Carlsbad's flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temecula's wine country tours, right in between San Diego and Los Angeles renowned attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers' market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. We're one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Company's tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Temecula has a number of vineyards eager to showcase their wines, wine country is one exit north of us (10-15 minutes) and if you book early enough, hot air ballooning is a local wine country favorite.
No public transportation, you need a car for sure! Mountain bikes wouldn't be a bad idea, but you'll have to walk them down to Safari Tent before mounting! (Hilly, blind curves too dangerous for bike riding) Closed toe shoes, rather than high heels or flipflops are a good choice if you intend to hike the farm.
Maximum occupancy is 4 guests in this unit. There is only one queen bed, and one FULL pull out coach in the livingroom. Kitchen seats four.
Free parking right at your door.
We'll send a confirmation and rental agreement to your email to complete your booking, as well as our comprehensive Activity Guide which includes on-farm things to do, as well as area suggestions, wineries and tours.
Loved the friendly animals and loved the exercise we got when we went to visit the animals. Host was very nice and gracious especially when an additional request from us was made. Wonderful restaurant very close by.
Fun unusual stay. Bed was very comfortable
The farm is a little remote, which is a nice thing that has its advantages and disadvantages. For example, the entertainment is limited to a DVD player or whatever you pull up on WiFi. At the same time, you truly get your privacy. You do have to fix your own breakfast. Six fresh eggs, begals, cream cheese, butter, and fresh fruit are all provided. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom is large, and the rest of the house is cozy. Overall, a great stay.
The hosts were so gracious to us! The eggs provided for breakfast were very fresh and tasty. The produce that we bought was farm fresh and very flavorful. I liked meeting Carl and all the other goats. I got to feed the chickens and the alpacas. Donna and Lance were very attentive to us. The romantic farmstay was very cozy and warm on a very chilly day! Thank you for having us. We hope to come again, if anything, just to order more of your flavorful produce. The macadamia nuts were exceptional in my cereal this morning!
Morning Song Farm is a lovely getaway from the city, gorgeous view of the valley. We enjoyed coffee on the patio, feeding the alpacas and the chickens and watching the peacocks. Home fresh eggs and fruit were great. It’s about 15 minutes from wine country which we really enjoyed. Favorite vineyards were Doffo, Lorenzo, Gershon Bachus and Hart. Favorite restaurants were Gourmet Italia and The Goat and Vine. In Fallbrook we loved La Caseta. Fun stay.
My wife and I stayed recently. We found it totally relaxing. From our leisurely strolls down to the chickens, to hanging with goats, to just relaxing in the unit. Throw a lovely hot tub in the mix and we were set. If you like to hike, we did the Santa Margarita Ecological Preserve. It was great too, just be ready to do some water crossings. We stayed 2 nights. One night we ate at Rainbow Oaks Restaurant. Great food, huge portions. The second night we used the stove. We like to cook so learning to do it on that stove made it more fun for us. We are looking forward to getting back here and maybe even trying out the other units. The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating. Can't wait to book this place again!!!
My husband and I loved our stay at Donna's farm, in the Romantic Farm Stay house. It was wonderfully peaceful and quiet, and the organic veggies and fruit and eggs from the farm were AH-MAZING. My favorite part of every day was visiting the alpacas and chickens, and feeding them snacks. I would definitely go back, next time I would stay longer. Thanks, Donna!
So happy with our choice of staying at this place. our only regret was not staying longer. Was so relaxing and they put a lot of work into making you feel more then welcome and at hope. They provided a bottle of wine , breakfast bagels and cream cheese. Not to mention fresh fruit and coffee from there farm. We will defiantly be back!
Nice place. The bed and recliner loveseat were very comfortable. And the hot tub nice and warm.
My partner and I stayed in the Romantic Farmstay at Morning Song Farm and had such a great time. The hot tub overlooking the farm was really romantic, and we won’t forget toasting our anniversary under the stars. It was nice to have the hot tub to ourselves. Since I had to stay in touch with the office, I was glad to see the wifi was fast. The host, Donna, was warm and made us feel right at home. The amount of free organic vegetables was a bit of a surprise, and the vintage stove was to die for. All in all, a five star stay!
